We rated the trip very highly for a number of reasons that we already mentioned, but a very big factor was how fantastic communication was before and during the trip.

The best parts of the tour were the guides, Carlos and Gonzoles, cheese village and Quinta de Tedo. In order to write everything that made Carlos and Gonzoles excelent guides would take a week and result in a book. They were compassionate, caring, intelligent, knowledgeable. playful and fun people to hang out with and learn from. They made Portugal come alive for me.
What an adventure! So fun! Loved the trip leaders - Michael and Mariana. They were so calm, patient and friendly. Our group loved them and we insisted they eat with us every night. I’m so happy I went on this trip.
