Bangkok
You'll arrive at Bangkok International Airport and get picked up for the drive to your hotel. After you settle in, the afternoon and evening are yours to spend however you'd like. Try getting a traditional Thai massage, eat at some local restaurants, or head to a rooftop bar to catch the sunset over the city.

- Day 2
Bangkok
Today focuses on Bangkok's major temples. You'll visit Wat Traimit to see the Golden Buddha, then move on to Wat Pho and its famous Reclining Buddha. The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Keaw take up the rest of your morning and early afternoon. After that, you'll stop at a lapidary factory where you can look through handcrafted jewelry and silk before heading back to your hotel.

Bangkok
After breakfast, you're heading to Maeklong Railway Market where a train passes right through the market each day. From there, you'll travel to Damnoen Saduak floating market to watch vendors paddle canoes full of fresh produce through the waterways. It's busy and colorful, and you'll be back in Bangkok by the evening.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
Eat breakfast at the hotel, then fly to Chiang Mai. Once you're settled at your hotel, a guided tour of the old town starts at 1:30 pm. You'll see Wat Suan Dok with its 48-metre chedi, Wat Phra Sing, the 14th century Wat Chedi Luang, plus Wat Chet Yot and Wat Chiang Man. That's quite a bit of temple hopping, but you'll get a solid overview of the city.

Following breakfast, you'll head to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. You can either climb the 309 steps up a naga staircase or take the included cable car for city views from up top. Next, you'll check out Wararot Market and the fragrant flower market. Later, dinner is an included khan toke experience with traditional northern Thai performances.

Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai
After breakfast, you're going to the Elephant Poopoopaper Park (or Elephant Jungle Sanctuary starting in November) for a walking tour through eight pavilions about the papermaking process. Lunch is included, and then you'll travel to Chiang Rai, stopping at Wat Rong Khun, the striking White Temple with its intricate white architecture. You'll arrive in Chiang Rai in the afternoon.

Chiang Rai to Phuket
You'll check out after breakfast and drive to Chiang Saen for views of the Golden Triangle where Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand meet at the Mekong River. A 30-minute boat ride takes you around the area. Lunch is included at a local restaurant, and then you head to Chiang Rai Airport. You'll fly to Bangkok, connect onward to Phuket, and transfer to your hotel.
