Apollonia - Ardenica Monastery - Durres - Tirana
Start your day walking along Vlora's Lungomare seafront promenade to get a feel for this independence city. From there, you'll head to Apollonia, an ancient site founded back in the 6th century BC where you can walk through impressive ruins and check out the museum. Next, the Ardenica Monastery is on your list - it's got Byzantine architecture and frescoes worth seeing, plus it's historically significant as where Skanderbeg got married. After that, you'll stop at local wineries in the Fier region to sample Albanian wines and try some traditional snacks. Before heading back to Tirana, you'll see the ancient Roman amphitheater in Durres and spend some time along its seafront.

Llogara Pass - Dhermi - Palase Beach - Vlora
Take a scenic drive south along the Albanian Riviera starting with a coffee stop at a seaside bar in Vlora overlooking the Ionian Sea. You'll then drive up to Llogara Pass at 1,027 meters/3,370 feet where you get panoramic views of the coast and can explore the park's different ecosystems. The charming village of Dhermi is next, and you'll have time to relax at Palase Beach, which has a Blue Flag award for its quality. Stop at a local restaurant in Llogara for traditional Albanian food with mountain views, then make your way back to your hotel in Vlora.
