You'll arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and get picked up for the drive to Eka Hotel in Nairobi. After settling into your room, there's a welcome dinner at the hotel so you can relax after your flight and meet the group.

Nairobi to Samburu
This morning you head north from Nairobi through Kenya's central highlands, crossing the equator as you enter the dry northern region. By afternoon you'll reach Samburu and head straight out for a game drive to spot desert-adapted wildlife. The Ewaso Nyiro River is your base, and you can unwind along the banks before dinner.

Landmarks Samburu National Reserve Ewaso Nyiro River - Day 3
Samburu
Today it's a full day of game drives through Samburu's rough landscape. The Ewaso Nyiro River brings in elephant herds and predators, so there's plenty to watch. In the afternoon, you can either hang back at camp or visit a local Samburu village if that interests you.

Landmarks Samburu National Reserve Ewaso Nyiro River - Day 4
Samburu to Lake Nakuru
You'll drive south across the Laikipia plateau and then down into the Great Rift Valley. There's a lunch break somewhere along the way, giving you a chance to stretch before reaching Lake Nakuru. Check in at your lodge and catch the sunset over the water.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Start with breakfast, and if you're interested, there's an optional morning boat ride on Lake Naivasha. After that, head toward the Masai Mara by driving through farmlands and rolling hills as you move into southern Kenya's vast open savannahs. You'll arrive in time for a sunset game drive once you get to the Mara.

- Day 6
Masai Mara
Spend the entire day in the Masai Mara, which has more big cats than almost anywhere else in Africa. If you're here between July and October, you might see the wildebeest and zebra crossing the Mara River, with crocodiles and predators waiting below. Your guide takes you into the heart of the action on game drives.

- Day 7
Masai Mara
Another full day exploring the reserve with your guide leading the way. You can choose to do a hot air balloon safari if you want a different perspective, or visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience. On your final night here, there's an optional bush dinner or sundowner toast to mark the end of your time in the Mara.

Masai Mara to Nairobi
