Vancouver to Kamloops
You'll board the Rocky Mountaineer train with big windows for great views all day. The route goes through Fraser Valley, the Coast Mountains, and Fraser Canyon. You'll reach Kamloops in the late afternoon and stay there overnight.

Kamloops to Banff National Park
The train journey continues past the Spiral Tunnels and Kicking Horse Canyon, then into Banff National Park. You'll stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise with special perks and premium dining in the mountains.

Banff National Park
Drive to Moraine Lake if the season allows to see the bright turquoise water. You'll get a guided tour of Banff town, then in the evening there's a wagon ride along the Bow River with western activities and a BBQ dinner.

Banff to Jasper
You'll drive the Icefield Parkway, a very scenic route through the mountains. At the Columbia Icefield there's an Ice Explorer ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. After that you continue to Jasper for the night.

Jasper to Sun Peaks
Start your morning in Jasper, then begin driving toward Sun Peaks. You'll pass Mount Robson on the way, so there's a good chance to stop and take in the scenery. By midday, pull into Blue River for lunch. After eating, you'll head out on a river safari through glacier-fed rivers and lakes in Grizzly Bear Valley. This is where you might spot grizzlies and other wildlife along the riverbanks as you cruise through the water.

After breakfast you'll travel to Whistler through the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast, the area where gold was found back in the 1860s. Once you reach Whistler you'll have free time to walk around this mountain resort town.

Whistler to Victoria
The Sea to Sky Highway offers great views of the Coast Mountains as you head south. You'll stop at Horseshoe Bay, take a ferry across the water to Nanaimo, then drive through Chemainus before arriving in Victoria for the night.

Juneau, Alaska

Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska
Glacier Bay National Park comes into view with its huge glaciers, wild coast, and protected fjords. Rangers board the ship to explain the geology and wildlife you're seeing as you cruise through this World Heritage park.
