Bangkok Old Town & Wat Po
Start with a private boat ride through Bangkok's narrow canals in the Old Town area. You'll head to Wat Po, a major Buddhist temple complex, where you can see the Reclining Buddha. After some free time to walk around, you'll meet up with other travelers for a welcome dinner back at the hotel.

Bangkok to Sukhothai

Chiang Rai & Golden Triangle

After lunch, visit a hill tribe village to meet Akha and Karen Long Neck people, see traditional weaving, and buy from local artisans. The evening ends at the night bazaar.

You're heading to Chiang Mai, once a religious center known for its many Buddhist temples. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant on the way. The day features Doi Suthep, one of two granite peaks west of Chiang Mai. A cable car gets you to the top to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Thailand's most important Buddhist temples. The views are great, and going down those jeweled naga-lined steps gives you plenty of photo chances.
