    Istanbul

    Your airport transfer gets you to the hotel, then you have time to explore Istanbul before the 7:00pm group meeting in the lobby. Check out Galata Tower for city views or wander through the Grand Bazaar if that interests you. After everyone gathers, there's an optional group dinner so you can meet the other travelers.

    Istanbul

    Following breakfast, you'll head into Istanbul's old city to see the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sophia. The afternoon opens up for an optional boat cruise on the Bosphorus if you want to see the skyline from the water, or you can rest back at the hotel.

    Istanbul to Cappadocia

    The drive to Cappadocia takes you through Turkish countryside and small villages, passing through Ankara along the way. Once you arrive, you'll visit Derinkuyu Underground City, an ancient carved settlement 200 feet below ground with churches, wells, storage areas, and stables. An optional Turkish bath is available in the evening if you want to relax.

    Early risers can join an optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise over Cappadocia's landscape, or sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast. During the day, explore the Göreme region including the museum, Pigeon Valley, Uchisar, and Cavusin. The evening brings an optional Turkish night show with traditional music and dancing.

    Start by exploring Kaymakli Underground City, where early Christians sheltered in underground tunnels, burial chambers, and chapels. Then head toward Konya to see the Karatay Madrasa and the Museum and Mausoleum of Mevlana (Rumi), the 13th-century poet and scholar. You'll have dinner back at your hotel after the day's activities.

    Konya to Antalya

    Begin with the Karatay Madrasa and Mevlana Museum in Konya, then drive toward Antalya to visit Perge with its ancient Pamphylia ruins and Bronze Age mosaics. Next is Aspendos, where you can see a 2,000-year-old theater with impressive acoustics and room for 12,000 people. You'll arrive in Antalya for dinner and free time by the sea.

You'll return to Kusadasi to stay another night.
