Tour ran late from second day and got worse from there. Scenic offered to compensate passengers under their "guarantee". Since then, Scenic has concocted excuse after excuse to delay our promised refund. Be very wary of travelling with Scenic. We have travelled with Scenic previously, on river cruises and road tours. They used to live up to their claim as the premium operator. Not anymore. Prices remain high but standards and quality have been dropped.

This cruise was first rate; I can’t imagine using any other cruise line. We had a balcony suite and it is was very comfortable with an adjustable bed covered in lush bedding. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional and yet we felt like they were our friends. The food was delicious and plentiful as were the drinks. We met lots of wonderful travelers and the excursions were perfect! When they say the price you pay covers everything, it is true. Can’t wait to sail with Scenic again!

Everything was excellent except for room accommodations. There was a heavy smell of mildew in our Cabin 105 on the Scenic Amber. I reported it several times and had hotel desk manager apply baking soda to carpet in an effort to remove the odor but this solution didn’t work. I would strongly recommend that the maintenance crew and hotel manager search for a water leak , probably emanating from bathroom shower which maybe causing this Problem. The floor in the bathroom felt spongy when I walked on it which might indicate that water is seeping into the underlying flooring material which could lead to mold/mildew growth and further water seepage into the surrounding floor/wall structures in this cabin causing /creating the mildew odor. I am a biochemist and have been practicing /facilitating Causal Learning/Analysis Problem Solving for over 35 years. Mold spores can cause respiratory issues to passengers who sleep in this cabin. I had itchy eyes, a sore throat, and slight cough and my wife developed a lingering cough which we believe were caused by this mildew smell/exposure. Other than that , team work from Captain To Dishwasher were excellent. We will recommend Scenic to our friends. My wife and I did not receive Scenic Back Packs or Luggage Tags prior to trip as many other Scenic passengers did receive. Respectfully, EJ and Suzanne Ledet problem.
