- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and a private driver will meet you at the airport to take you to your hotel. After you check in, the rest of the day is open - use it to rest after your flight or walk around the city if you're feeling up to it.

- Day 2
Hanoi
Your guide picks you up at 8:00am for a full day exploring Hanoi. You'll start at Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, then head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex to see his mausoleum and former houses. The One Pillar Pagoda comes next before lunch. After that, you'll visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum (or Vietnamese Women's Museum if the first is closed), the Temple of Literature, and Hoa Lo Prison. If you want, there's a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter or Water Puppet Show available for extra fees.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
Following breakfast, you'll be picked up and driven across the Red River Delta where you'll see rice paddies as you head toward Ha Long Bay. Once there, you'll get on a cruise to explore the limestone karst formations and grottoes. Lunch is seafood on the boat, then you'll visit a famous limestone cave with options to kayak or swim near floating villages. You'll return to the boat for dinner and have the evening free with optional activities onboard.

- Day 4
Ha Long Bay to Hoi An
Wake early to catch the sunrise from the boat while eating breakfast, cruising past thousands of islands. You'll stop at a floating fishing village to see how the fishermen work and live. Lunch happens on the boat as you cruise back to Halong City pier, arriving back in Hanoi by 3:30-4:00pm. From there, you'll fly to Da Nang and get driven to your hotel in Hoi An. The evening is yours to settle in, relax, or look around the town.

- Day 5
Hoi An
Your guide meets you at 2:30pm at your hotel in Hoi An's city center. You'll visit Hoi An Market, the Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, and walk through ancient houses like Phung Hung and Tan Ky. The Museum of Folk Culture and Traditional Performing Arts House are on the list, along with the Japanese Bridge. Then you'll check out handicraft shops, galleries, and local neighborhoods. Later, you'll take a boat ride where you can release a flower lantern for good luck. The tour wraps up at 6:30pm.

- Day 6
Hoi An to My Son Sanctuary
A van picks you up at 1:00-1:30pm for the one hour drive to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll arrive around 2:30-2:45pm, take an electric car partway, then walk for about 2 hours exploring the Champa culture and old structures while watching Champa Apsara Dance performances. By 4:30-5:00pm, you'll board a boat down the Thu Bon River back to Hoi An, catching sunset views and photographing local life along the way. You'll reach Hoi An by 6:00-6:30pm.

- Day 7
Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at your hotel, the morning is free to relax or shop around Hoi An. Later, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. A driver will meet you and take you to your hotel to check in. The afternoon is open for you to explore on your own - you could visit Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, Chinatown, or the War Remnants Museum.

- Day 8
Ho Chi Minh City
Starting after breakfast, you'll take a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City visiting Notre Dame Cathedral with its neo-Romanesque style, the historic Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Reunification Palace where South Vietnam's president once worked. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll head to the Cu Chi Tunnels about 75km away (roughly 1.5 hours drive). There you'll explore over 200km of tunnels that served as underground cities during the Vietnam War, seeing trap doors, living areas, weapon factories, hospitals, and command centers. You'll try simple local food and go into the tunnels yourself to feel the experience. Then it's back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

- Day 9
Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
You'll head out from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho on the Mekong River. First stop is Vinh Trang Pagoda, built in the late 19th century. Then you'll board a sampan to cruise around four islands - Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. On Unicorn Island, you'll walk through country lanes, see fruit orchards, listen to local folk songs, and visit plantations. You'll also take a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal seeing the countryside, stop at family businesses and a honey-bee farm to try honey tea and learn about coconut candy making. Lunch is at a local restaurant with break time. In the afternoon, you can cycle around Tan Thach village to meet locals and experience Mekong life, or relax in a hammock if cycling isn't for you. Then you'll return to Ho Chi Minh City.
