Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel. There's time before evening to walk around this capital where ancient history sits alongside contemporary life. Later, you'll meet your Travel Director and group for a light meal.

- Day 2
Athens
This morning a Local Specialist leads you through ancient Athens, starting with the Acropolis and Parthenon. You'll see the Royal Palace, Temple of Zeus, and visit the Acropolis Museum. After that, you'll check out Hadrian's Arch and the stadium from the 1896 Olympic Games. The afternoon is yours to wander the Plaka, sit at Syntagma Square, or hunt for good souvlaki around town.

Athens to Nafplion
You'll leave Athens and drive across the Corinth Canal to the Peloponnesian Peninsula. A Local Specialist shows you ancient Corinth, then you'll continue to Mycenae for the Beehive Tombs, Lion Gate, and Agamemnon's palace remains. Later in the day, head to Epidaurus to see the ancient theater and Sanctuary of Asclepius. You'll arrive in Nafplion by evening and have dinner at your hotel.

Nafplion to Olympia
Traveling through the Arcadian mountains toward Olympia, you'll stop at a family honey farm to taste thyme honey and learn about traditional practices. Then you'll reach Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games from 776 BC. This evening, join the Karabelas family at their olive and wine estate for homemade food, traditional dancing, and Greek hospitality.

A Local Specialist takes you through the ancient Olympic site this morning, covering the museum and temple ruins. After leaving Olympia, you'll head north along the coast to Patras, cross the Gulf of Corinth, and arrive in Delphi. There's an option to try preparing local dishes during an interactive cooking lesson.

Delphi to Kalambaka
Walk the Sacred Way with your Local Specialist to the 4th-century Temple of Apollo at Delphi. You'll see statues from the Pythian Games held in Apollo's honor. After that, take a scenic drive to Thermopylae where Leonidas and the Spartans made their stand. Then cross the Thessaly plain, known as Greece's breadbasket, and arrive in Kalambaka.

This morning you'll see the UNESCO monasteries of Meteora with a Local Specialist, visiting two of the six Eastern Orthodox buildings perched on rock towers. Then you'll drive back to Athens for a final dinner with your travel companions to reflect on your journey through Greece.

The ship stops at Kusadasi on the Turkish coast for a complimentary Shore Experience to ancient Ephesus. Later, you'll reach Patmos where St. John wrote the Book of Revelations, with an optional visit to the Cave of the Apocalypse and monastery.

At Rhodes, you have an optional experience to see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Walk through medieval knight ruins and explore the capital on your own, tracing stone walls, gates, and cobblestone streets before returning to the ship.
