Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
You'll be picked up at 8 AM and head east toward the High Atlas Mountains from Marrakech, with stops for photos and refreshments along the way. Aït Barka sits at 1500m altitude, and you'll cross through Tizi N'tichka before reaching the UNESCO-listed Berber village of Aït Ben Haddou where a local guide shows you around. After lunch, the drive continues through Skoura Oasis and Klaa Mgouna on the way to Boumalne Dades following the Dades River. You'll pass fortified kasbahs and spot the distinctive Monkey Fingers rock formations before arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon.

Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
After breakfast, departure happens at 9:30 AM along the Road of 1001 Kasbahs toward Tinghir, then a minor road takes you to Todgha where you'll walk through the oasis under palm trees. From there, head to Todgha Gorges to see the dramatic cliff-sided river canyons. You stop at a Berber house to watch traditional Moroccan tribal rugs being made. The drive takes you to Merzouga for a camel transfer lasting about 1.5 hours across the dunes during sunset, ending at a luxury desert camp where you'll have a traditional Berber dinner.

Merzouga to Marrakech
You'll head toward Tafilalet Palm Grove and the village of Rissani, then pass through Alnif village and the Anti Atlas mountains. The route goes through Jbel Saghro mountains and the main Berber villages of Tazarine and N'kob before continuing into the Draa valley with its rows of palm trees. You stop in Ouarzazate for a meal break before the drive back to Marrakech, ending the excursion there.
