Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and meet your local host for a transfer to your hotel in Miraflores. This evening at 6 p.m., you'll join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for dinner to kick things off.

- Day 2
Lima
Start at Casona San Marcos where you'll have a local snack and learn about the building's history. Next, try a short percussion workshop to pick up the cajón and some basic música negra dance moves from Chincha. You'll check out Lima's Main Square, then have the option to join a walking tour of Miraflores with a local expert, visiting Larcomar shopping center and Kennedy Park. Dinner will be at one of the restaurants in Pasaje de Ramón.

Sacred Valley
This morning you'll fly to Cusco, the gateway to Peru's Sacred Valley. You'll have a local Peruvian lunch with sweeping views of the valley, then meet a Quechua Shaman for a special welcome ceremony.

Later there's a Marinera dance performance and music from local musicians. This evening, you'll learn how to prepare authentic ceviche and the perfect pisco sour.

Machu Picchu
Head to Ollantaytambo, the Incan fortress with massive stone terraces on the hillside. Then you'll take the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu along the Inca Trail with a light snack included. Your local specialist will guide you through the temples, palaces and terraces, including the Temple of the Sun, House of the Priest, Sacred Plaza and the intricately carved Intihuatana.

- Day 6
Sacred Valley - Cusco
Spend the morning at Machu Picchu on your own, then travel back to the Sacred Valley by train. You'll stop en route to Cusco to learn about natural dyeing techniques from native weavers. After that, visit the Pisac handicraft market and try chicha, the traditional Andean drink.

Cusco
Begin at Sacsayhuaman, the UNESCO-listed fortress overlooking Cusco with its massive sacred stonework. Your local specialist will guide you through Cusco's colonial center and the Mantay social project supporting underage mothers. You'll also see Qoriwayrachina, the 13th-century Incan settlement. The afternoon is free for optional activities like the Chocolate Museum or visiting Maras and Moray's greenhouse and salt wells.

Juliaca - Lake Titicaca
Fly to Juliaca and meet a local specialist who'll tell you about daily life on the Peruvian altiplano. After a lunch al fresco, you'll visit Sillustani, a pre-Incan burial ground with striking stone tombs on Lake Umayo's shores. Later you'll head to Puno and Lake Titicaca for a family meal with Víctor Coila and his family, with quinoa bread, potatoes with cheese and traditional chaco sauce.

Nazca
Take a private flight to see the Nazca Lines, those gigantic geometric designs viewable only from the air. Then visit the Regional Museum of Ica to see artifacts from Paracas and Nazca cultures. You'll stop at Bodega El Catador to learn about and taste pisco, and the rest of the day is free to relax.
