Itinerary
- Day 1
Mumbai
Your hotel pickup happens at 8:30 AM, then you'll board a local train heading to Dhobi Ghat and travel alongside commuters during the morning rush. At Dhobi Ghat, you'll see the open-air laundry operation where hundreds of workers wash clothes by hand using traditional methods. From there, you'll meet the Dabbawalas and learn how they manage their intricate lunch box delivery system across the city, which is pretty remarkable in terms of organization and efficiency. After that, the itinerary takes you into Dharavi, the community known from Slumdog Millionaire, where you'll walk through workshops and markets to see how people work and live there. You'll return to your hotel by evening after experiencing a side of Mumbai that most visitors don't typically see.
