Itinerary
- Day 1
Glasgow to Isle of Arran
You'll head west from Glasgow, passing by Europe's largest wind farm before arriving in Ayrshire. The main stop is Culzean Castle, a dramatic clifftop structure that sits high above the coastline. After that, you'll visit Alloway to see Robert Burns' birthplace and the visitor centre, where you can learn about the poet's life and works. Later in the day, you'll catch the ferry from Ardrossan to the Isle of Arran, and by evening you'll settle into your accommodation in Brodick.

Isle of Arran
This is a full day on the Isle of Arran with your driver guide, and the route adjusts based on weather and what your group prefers to see. You could check out the mountainous northern part, visit some of Arran's best beaches, or explore Lochranza Castle and the Lagg Distillery. There are Neolithic and Bronze Age stone circles at Machrie Moor if history interests you, and the harbour villages like Blackwaterfoot offer a quieter coastal experience. You'll also have time for the Arran Cheese shop, Brodick Castle, and the Arran Brewery, finishing the day with local ale and dinner.

Isle of Arran to Edinburgh
You'll take the ferry from Lochranza to Claonaig on the mainland, a crossing that takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive on the Kintyre Peninsula, you'll drive along the coastal road to Tarbert, a fishing village with real character. From there, follow Loch Fyne north to Inveraray, a whitewashed village where you'll have free time to walk around and grab lunch. After eating, you'll head over The Rest and be Thankful mountain pass, then continue to Luss on Loch Lomond's banks before driving back to Edinburgh.
