Itinerary
- Day 1
London to Amsterdam
You'll meet up with your Contiki group in London and board the coach heading toward Europe. The journey takes you to Dover where you'll catch the ferry across the English Channel, so you get those views of the White Cliffs as you cross. Once you arrive in Calais, it's back on the coach to Amsterdam. When you get there this evening, you'll have time to walk around the canals and check out the 17th-century gable houses before the group dinner.

Landmarks White Cliffs of Dover - Day 2
Amsterdam
You've got the whole day to explore Amsterdam at your own pace. Wander through the cobbled streets and take in the canalside views, or spend time at the STRAAT museum if that interests you. Local food is a big deal here, so try Dutch pancakes, frites, cheese, and stroopwafels. If you want something different, there's an optional trip to the fishing village of Volendam for dinner, or you can do an optional nighttime canal cruise with a bar on board.

Landmarks Volendam - Day 3
Amsterdam to Rhine Valley
You'll leave Amsterdam and head down to the Rhine Valley, which is where Germany produces its premium wines. The coach takes you to board a cruise along the Rhine River, and from there you just sit back and watch boats glide past the landscapes around you. It's a pretty relaxing day on the water.

Rhine Valley to Munich
The drive takes you toward Munich, but first you'll stop in a charming Bavarian medieval town where you can walk the cobblestoned streets and see the vibrant market squares with half-timbered houses. Once you reach Munich, a local guide takes you around the city to see the famous Glockenspiel mechanical figurines. Later you'll head to a traditional Bavarian beer hall to check out 800 years of history and have dinner.

Munich to Venice
You'll drive through the Bavarian Alps, passing fairytale castles and vineyards on your way to Austria. The first stop is Innsbruck, a laid-back student city known for its medieval old town, Olympic Ski Jump, and Royal Palace, so you'll have time to grab lunch there. After that, you'll continue toward Trento in the Adige Valley for dinner, then arrive in Venice this evening. You'll have the whole next day to explore the city.

Venice
You've got a full day to explore Venice. You'll board a private motoscafo boat that takes you through the canals to the historic center of the city. From there, you can choose what appeals to you: take a traditional gondola ride, learn how to paddle your own gondola from instructors, or join a guided food tour and discover the local food scene.

Landmarks Venice - Day 7
Venice to Switzerland
You'll leave Venice behind and head toward Switzerland. The coach travels through Italy passing Lake Como as you leave, then continues toward the Swiss Alps. Alpine views start showing up outside your windows as you get closer to Switzerland. Once you arrive, you'll check in and have time to relax your legs after all that traveling.

- Day 8
Switzerland to Lucerne
You'll start early to take in more of the alpine scenery, then the coach heads to Lucerne. Once there, you can spend your day walking through the beautiful streets, sitting in coffee shops, or trying some chocolate. There's an optional lake cruise available if you want to see the Swiss Alps reflected in the water. You'll return to your accommodation with plenty of memories from the day.

Switzerland to Paris
You're leaving the Swiss Alps and heading to Paris. The route takes you back across the border into France and through Burgundy, which is a wine-producing region with some nice scenery. When you arrive in Paris this evening, you'll do a nighttime tour of famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and other iconic sites. The evening ends at Montparnasse Tower on the 56th floor where you'll get panoramic views of the whole city.

Paris
This is your last full day in Paris and it's yours to plan. You might visit the Fragonard perfumery to learn how fragrance is made, then roam through tree-lined neighborhoods, see Notre Dame Cathedral, or spend hours at the Louvre galleries. Since it's your final night with the group, there's an optional dinner followed by a visit to the Moulin Rouge if you want to celebrate.
