Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cancun
You'll land in Cancun during the evening and meet your transfer at the airport for the ride to your hotel. After checking in, you can head out to the white sand beaches of the Yucatan to stretch your legs and get your bearings. It's a good chance to relax after travel and take in the warm weather.
- Day 2
Bacalar
Your guide picks you up to check out Tulum's archaeological site sitting high above turquoise waters. From there you'll head to the Lagoon of the Seven Colors and visit San Felipe fortress in Bacalar. Later in the day, you'll swim in Cenote Azul, which is this open-top karst cave where you can cool off in the clear water.

Chicanna - Calakmul
You'll travel through the jungle to reach the Mayan sites of Kohunlich and Chicanna, where ancient ruins sit surrounded by palm groves. After that, you get to Calakmul Biosphere Reserve and wait for sunset to see roughly four million bats pour out of a massive cave. It's something you don't see every day, and the sheer number is pretty remarkable.

Palenque
Head deep into the jungle on the road to Calakmul, one of the largest Mayan cities ever built. You'll walk through massive pyramids and colossal buildings at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, you travel toward Palenque and arrive there later in the day.

Roberto Barrios Waterfalls
This morning you'll explore the ancient Mayan city of Palenque, including the Temple of Inscriptions where archaeologists found the first Mayan ruler's tomb. After lunch, you head to nearby Roberto Barrios waterfalls for a swim to refresh. Then it's back to Palenque for the evening.

Palenque to Campeche
You'll drive along the Gulf of Mexico fishing villages heading toward Campeche. By afternoon you arrive and walk through the historic center with its colorful houses, cathedral, and Zocalo. The city has these historic fortifications that once kept pirates out, which you can see scattered throughout the area.

Celestun - Merida
Start the day at Uxmal, one of the most important Mayan sites, known for its beautifully decorated facades and large structures. From there you travel to Celestun Biosphere Reserve where you take a boat through mangrove forests and see one of North America's largest flamingo colonies. By evening you reach Merida, often called the white city.

Izamal - Chichen Itza
You'll walk through Merida's colonial architecture, checking out the oldest cathedral in America, the government palace with its murals, and the colorful local market. Then you head to Izamal to visit the Franciscan monastery and main square, plus the Itzamatul ruins and a cultural center with Mexican folk art. Later you drive to Chichen Itza and arrive in the evening.

This morning you explore Chichen Itza and see El Castillo pyramid, the largest ball court in Yucatan, El Caracol observatory, and structures built for Venus observation. Before lunch, you swim in Cenote de Dzitnup with its clear waters. In the afternoon, you transfer to your all-inclusive hotel on the Riviera Maya.

Departure from Cancun
Head to Cancun airport for your return flight. You'll transfer from the resort and check in for your flight home, ending your Mexico trip.
