Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire to Ngorongoro
Your driver picks you up from Arusha or Moshi early in the morning, then it's a 2 to 3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Once there, you'll spend the morning and early afternoon on a game drive where you can see elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and lots of birds throughout the park. Around midday the staff sets up a picnic lunch for you in the park. After eating, you continue driving toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and by evening you'll reach your lodge near the crater rim. Dinner and overnight stay happen at the lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, your group heads down into Ngorongoro Crater, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and happens to be the world's largest inactive volcanic caldera. You'll spend the morning and into early afternoon doing a game drive where black rhinos, lions, cheetahs, hippos, zebras, and flamingos are all in view depending on where you drive. There's a picnic lunch set up by a hippo pool. Once the game drive wraps up, you ascend back out of the crater and make the drive back to Arusha, getting there sometime in the late afternoon or evening.
