- Day 1
Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi
You'll land at Kilimanjaro Airport and get driven to Springlands Hotel in Moshi. Take time to settle in, grab dinner, and get some rest before the trek begins tomorrow. This is mainly about arriving and letting your body adjust to the timezone.

Moshi to Machame Camp
Drive from Moshi out to Machame Park Gate where your climb officially starts. The trek takes you through cloud forest with lush vegetation and winding trails. By afternoon you'll reach Machame Camp at 2,835m/9,301ft where you'll sleep your first night on the mountain.

Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Leave Machame Camp and head through thicker forest that gradually transitions to moorland as you climb higher. The trail gets steeper and the air thinner as you work your way up to Shira Camp at 3,505m/11,500ft. You're starting to feel the altitude now but the landscape keeps changing, which helps pass the time.

Landmarks/POIs Shira Camp - Day 4
Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
This day includes an interesting mix of climbing and descending. You'll trek from Shira Camp toward Lava Tower at 4,600m/15,092ft, then drop down to Barranco Camp at 3,960m/12,992ft. The idea is to climb high, acclimatize, then sleep lower so your body adapts better to the altitude.

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
After breakfast, tackle the Great Barranco Wall, which looks intimidating but isn't technically difficult, just steep and a bit scrambling in places. Once past that, the terrain opens up and you'll hike to Karanga Camp at 4,035m/13,238ft. Rocky alpine landscape surrounds the camp now.

Landmarks/POIs Karanga Camp - Day 6
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Continue climbing from Karanga Camp through barren, rocky terrain toward Barafu Camp at 4,673m/15,331ft. By this point, vegetation is basically gone and you're in true alpine zone. The trail gets steeper but shorter distances between camps. You're nearly ready for the final summit push.

Landmarks/POIs Barafu Camp - Day 7
Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp
Start hiking well before midnight to reach Uhuru Peak at 5,895m/19,341ft by sunrise. The night trek is cold and dark but the summit views and that final accomplishment make it worthwhile. After spending time at the top, you'll descend all the way to Mweka Camp at 3,068m/10,066ft for the night, covering significant distance in one day.

Mweka Camp to Moshi
Your last trek takes you from Mweka Camp down through the forest to Mweka Park Gate. You'll receive your official summit certificate here. After that, drive back to Springlands Hotel in Moshi where you can finally rest, shower properly, and process what you've accomplished.

Chemka Hot Springs
Head to Chemka's natural hot springs for a completely different experience after the trek. These warm mineral pools are peaceful and relaxing, perfect for sore muscles. Spend a few hours soaking and enjoying the tranquil setting before heading back to your hotel in Moshi.

Departure from Kilimanjaro
In the morning, get driven from Moshi to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home. This marks the end of your Mount Kilimanjaro adventure. You're heading out with memories, your summit certificate, and that sense of having done something pretty significant.
