Itinerary
- Day 1
Ushuaia
You'll arrive in Ushuaia and head straight to your hotel via included airport transfer. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you'd like. Tierra del Fuego National Park offers good hiking if you want something active, or you can take it easy and walk around town checking out the Beagle Channel waterfront. Stop by a local cafe for some handcrafted chocolate. Around 5 pm there's a welcome meeting at the hotel, then you can rest up before an early departure tomorrow.

- Day 2
Ushuaia to Ocean Nova
Start with a leisurely morning and enjoy views of the Andes before your coach heads to Ushuaia port. You'll board the Ocean Nova and get settled into your cabin while meeting the Expedition Team. As the ship moves through the Beagle Channel toward Antarctica, head out to the decks to watch the scenery. Later there's an onboard presentation about the expedition ahead, so you'll get a sense of what to expect over the next nine nights.

Landmarks Beagle Channel - Days 3 - 4
Drake Passage Crossing
Two days crossing the Drake Passage means watching for dolphins, whales, and seabirds like wandering albatross from the outer decks. The onboard lecture program keeps you engaged with talks from polar experts on Antarctic history, geology, and biology. If weather cooperates, you should spot land on the Antarctic Peninsula or South Shetland Islands by early evening on day 4, which marks your first real glimpse of Antarctica on this journey south.

Landmarks Drake Passage Antarctic Peninsula South Shetland Islands - Days 5 - 8
Antarctic Peninsula Exploration
Most days start around 7 am with breakfast, then you'll do at least two excursions weather permitting. The Antarctic Peninsula has abundant wildlife and mountains and ice to see. During peak season (February-March) watch for migrating whales along the coast. You can join the Happy Whale Project uploading tail photos to help track individual whales, take Zodiac trips, visit the captain's bridge, or try optional paddling excursions and polar plunge swims if that appeals to you.

- Days 9 - 10
Return Journey to Beagle Channel
The Ocean Nova turns back toward Ushuaia as you reflect on what you've seen and done. By evening on day 10 you'll reach the calmer Beagle Channel waters. There's a slideshow of photos the Expedition Photographer captured throughout your voyage, then a final dinner that celebrates your time with fellow travelers and the Expedition Team, marking the end of your Antarctic adventure.

Landmarks Beagle Channel - Day 11
Disembark Ushuaia
After breakfast you'll disembark from the Ocean Nova and head to Ushuaia Airport or downtown via included transfer. That ends your Antarctic expedition. If you want to stay longer in Ushuaia, contact your booking agent ahead of time to arrange extra nights.
