- Dorothy· November 27th, 2022The tour itself was great. I didn’t receive my hotel information or confirmation until I actually landed in Ushuaia. The boat is operated by Intrepid, and I would give them the 5 star review. Participants who booked directly though them had opportunities to pick rooms, book additional tours and activities that are literally once in a lifetime experiences. By the time I even heard about them they were sold out or too much time had lapsed for “last minute” bookings. Book with intrepid directly, it’s worth it. They are very organized!Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Dorothy, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so glad that you enjoyed our new Best of Antarctica trip, and give the trip itself a 5/5. We are sorry to hear that you were unable to book additional activities and services. While... Traveler•Written September 2024I also wanted information on visa process required for Argentina.
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written September 2024
Many countries require a visa and obtaining the correct visa for your trip and any countries you may transit through is your responsibility. No visas are required to visit the Antarctic continent or its offshore islands. However, you will need to have your passport with you on the ship, as port authorities will wish to inspect passports on departure from Ushuaia and also again at the end of your voyage

Asked on August 28th, 2023Does one actually go onto the continent of Antarctica or just an ice shelf?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written August 2023
Each expedition includes stops at various landing sites around the Antarctic but when you stop at them and for how long often depends on the weather, as well as sea ice and wildlife movement.
