Arrival in Bogotá
You'll land at El Dorado International Airport and get transferred to your hotel in Bogotá. From there, your time is flexible—whether you want to wander around the city or just settle in and rest after your flight is entirely up to you.

- Day 2
Bogotá City Tour
Start your day at the colorful Paloquemao market to see local vendors and daily life. Next, take the cable car up to Monserrate for views over the city, then head to Plaza de Bolívar and the La Candelaria historic district to walk around the colonial architecture. After that, check out the Botero Museum and the Iglesia de San Francisco, finishing the day at the Gold Museum where you'll see over 30,000 pre-Columbian artifacts on display.

Bogotá to Villavieja
Following breakfast, you'll fly from Bogotá to Neiva, then transfer to Villavieja for a guided tour of the Tatacoa Desert. You'll hike through subtropical dry forests on two trails—the Cuzco path with its ochre colors and Los Hoyos with grey landscapes—and see distinctive rock formations like the Cathedrals, the Tower, the Wishing Tree, and the Labyrinths along the way.

Villavieja to San Agustín
After breakfast, transfer to San Agustín, a town notable for its archaeological importance and pre-Columbian artifacts. The afternoon and evening are yours to explore this charming southern Colombian town surrounded by lush forests, waterfalls, and the Magdalena River.

- Day 5
San Agustín Archaeological Tour
Spend your morning at the Archaeological Park of San Agustín checking out ancient stone figures and tombs, with the on-site museum offering context about the people who built them. In the afternoon, you'll visit the archaeological sites of El Tablon and La Chaquira by horseback, which gives a different feel than walking and shows you more terrain in less time.

San Agustín to Popayán
After breakfast, drive about 5 hours from San Agustín to Popayán, known as the 'White City of Colombia' because of its distinctive white-painted buildings. When you arrive, take a 3-hour walking tour through the historic centre to see one of South America's best-preserved colonial areas and learn about local traditions.

Popayán to Pereira
You'll travel roughly 7 hours through Colombia's coffee region on your way to Pereira. Once there, you can spend the rest of the day however you like—either explore the city on your own or simply relax at your hotel.

Cocora Valley and Salento Day Trip
Head out for a day trip to Cocora Valley where wax palms reach up to 60 metres high and create dramatic landscapes perfect for nature photography. Later, visit the colorful town of Salento with its traditional architecture, walking the cobblestone streets and trying locally grown coffee at a café in the main square before picking up hand-crafted souvenirs.

- Day 9
Coffee Plantation Tour and Travel to Medellín
Following breakfast, visit Finca Del Café for a coffee experience (about 3 hours) in the UNESCO World Heritage Coffee Cultural Landscape. You'll learn how coffee goes from seed to cup, including traditional farming methods and a tasting. Afterward, continue your journey to Medellín, which takes approximately 5 hours.

Medellín City Tour
Explore Medellín's transformation from a city with a troubled past to a model of innovation and urban renewal. Later, head to Berrio Park and Botero Plaza in the city centre to see Fernando Botero's iconic bronze sculptures.

Medellín to Palomino

Palomino or Tayrona National Park Day Trip
You can spend a relaxed day in Palomino enjoying the coastal region, or opt for a full-day tour of Tayrona National Park (about 9 hours total). The park option includes driving along the Caribbean coast to El Zaino entrance, walks to Cañaveral Beach, a one-hour forest hike to Arrecife Beach, and visits to Arenillas, La Piscina, and Cabo San Juan where you can swim.

Palomino to Cartagena
You'll have a 6-hour drive from Palomino to Cartagena. In the afternoon, start by visiting La Popa Monastery positioned 140 metres above the city for views and history. Then check out the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas fortress built from coral stone to learn about its 17th and 18th century role defending against pirates. Wrap up with a leisurely 2-hour walk through Cartagena's historic centre seeing charming squares, churches, and winding colonial streets.

Cartagena or Islas del Rosario Day Trip
Spend your day exploring Cartagena's walled city with its colorful streets, visiting the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, or relaxing at Bocagrande beaches. Alternatively, join an optional tour to the Islas del Rosario where you'll take a speedboat to San Pedro de Majagua island. You'll get a welcome fruit cocktail, lunch of coconut rice and fish, and afternoon time for snorkeling or beach relaxation before heading back.
