  2. Day 2

    Vancouver Cruise Departure

    Head down to the harbour where your Holland America Line ship is waiting. You'll board, get your cabin sorted, and then the ship starts moving out for the cruise through the Inside Passage.

    The ship reaches Skagway, at the northern end of the Inside Passage and the main route to the goldfields back in the Klondike Gold Rush days. Walk around and check out the heritage buildings that are now part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, or you can book an optional tour.

    This morning there's a Signature Experience talk about mountaineering and climbing Denali. After that, you'll board the McKinley Explorer train with dome railcars and head to Denali National Park. You'll arrive at your resort in time to grab dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

    Overall the tour was well.planned and places we visited were beautiful. The accommodation was first class but the quality of the food was poor given the reputation of Fairmont Hotels being exclusive. It was the only disappointing aspect.
