Itinerary
- Day 1
Celle - Hannover
Your tour begins in Wolfsburg where you'll check out Autostadt, the Volkswagen museum with its gardens and exhibitions (admission's included in your package). After grabbing lunch and taking a walk around, you'll head to Celle to wander through the old town with its half-timbered houses and Renaissance castle. By mid-afternoon you'll arrive in Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony, and settle into your accommodation for the night.

- Day 2
Goslar - Göttingen - Bad Sooden - Eisenach
After breakfast, you're off to the Rammelsberg Mines near Goslar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the museum admission is included and you'll learn about medieval silver mining operations. From there, head to Goslar itself to walk through its medieval old town (also UNESCO-listed) with half-timbered buildings and the Church of St. Peter. You'll stop in Göttingen for lunch and explore the historic center where the Brothers Grimm lived. Later you'll pass through Bad Sooden spa town before reaching Eisenach with its Baroque and Renaissance architecture, including the Bach House and Luther House. Dinner is included in your evening.

- Day 3
Wartburg Castle - Gotha - Erfurt - Leipzig
This morning starts with a visit to Wartburg Castle (tickets included), the UNESCO site towering above Eisenach where Martin Luther translated the New Testament. The views of the surrounding landscape from up there are really something. Back in Eisenach, you'll have free time to explore on your own and grab lunch, with options to visit the Bach House or the Automobile Museum showing vintage cars from East Germany. Later you'll travel to Gotha to see its Baroque palace from the outside and walk through the historic center. Then you're off to Erfurt, Thuringia's capital, where you can see the cathedral and the medieval old town with its famous bridge that's been continuously inhabited for over 500 years. You'll arrive in Leipzig by evening, a culturally rich city where composers like Bach and Wagner once lived.

- Day 4
Battle of Nations Monument - Dresden - Bamberg - Nuremberg
Leaving Leipzig, you'll stop at the 91-meter tall Monument to the Battle of the Nations, built in 1913 to commemorate a major Napoleonic Wars battle. Continuing on, you reach Dresden, Saxony's capital known for its Baroque and Renaissance architecture, palaces, and the Elbe River promenades. The route then takes you into Bavaria where you'll arrive in Bamberg, a lively city where you can walk through Little Venice with its charming streets. After that, you'll head to Nuremberg, Bavaria's second-largest city with significant historical importance and architecture.

- Day 5
Danube Cruise - Kloster Weltenburg - Dachau - Munich
Starting from Kelheim, you'll board a boat for a scenic cruise through the Danube Gorge along the Danube valley and visit Kloster Weltenburg, a Benedictine monastery dating back to 1040. After lunch, you'll tour the Dachau Nazi concentration camp museum. Later in Munich, you can visit BMW Welt, a modern exhibition facility of the BMW Group, and see the park with the Olympiastadion from the 1972 Olympic Games. The rest of your time is free to explore Munich's historic center, visit Marienplatz, check out the Viktualienmarkt open-air market, relax in the Englischer Garten, or experience traditional beer houses.

- Day 6
Füssen - Neuschwanstein Castle - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
You'll travel through alpine scenery to Füssen and Neuschwanstein Castle. From there, take the bus to Mary's Bridge where you'll get fantastic views of the gorge and can either walk back down or take a horse carriage (the carriage isn't included in your price). The route continues along the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, a walled city where you'll visit the Christmas Museum (admission included). Later you'll arrive in Frankfurt, Germany's financial capital.
