- Anthony· September 25th, 2023These tours start with the itinerary, but are made or busted with the guide. Ours was Dominique (sp?). She was excellent! A lot of energy and passion, as well as information. She is an archaeologist, so she really knows the facts and can bring the ancient ruins to life. She is also very respectful of the monasteries and their inhabitants. The tour was well organized and run very well. Plus, we left a tablet in a hotel, and the hotel called to let her know. They went 5 minutes of their way in a busy schedule to get it back for us. Bravo for the extra effort!Show more

Encounters TravelOperator•Written November 2024For the 2nd August 2025 departure, which is currently available, the trip price is US$1140.00 per person sharing and the mandatory single supplement is US$555.00. The ages differ from one departure to the next, however, on average the travellers are in their 20s to 40s. We also have travellers aged 60s and up.

We only have two cabins available for this departure and are subject to continued availability. With the data I have available at the moment, some passengers are in their mid 40s - mid 60's and with nationalities ranging, from Spanish to Italian and Austrian.

Set Sail From Zakynthos Tour: Join us on a Greek adventure, exploring Zante and its neighbouring islands. We'll take you to beautiful bays, visit sea caves and local villages all whilst enjoying Greek hospitality onboard our traditional gulet. We'll start our voyage from the Old Town of Zante, before sailing along the coast to the fishing village of Agios Nikolaos, which is located around a small harbour, dotted with small shops and tavernas. Leaving the island of Zakynthos behind, our next stops are Ithaca and its port town of Vathi and the often-overlooked island of Meganisi, where we'll take full advantage of the secluded beaches. Next, is the picturesque island of Kefalonia, known for having some of the very best beaches in Europe. On Kefalonia we'll make a number of stops in Fiskardo, Agia Efimia and Poros. Our final stop is the famous Shipwreck beach on the north coast of Zante, before we return to Zante Old Town where our voyage comes to an end.
