Itinerary
- Day 1
Tokyo to Kamakura to Odawara
Leave Tokyo early and head to Kamakura, stopping first at Hokoku-ji Zen Temple where you'll walk through a bamboo forest and have traditional green tea. From there, check out Sugimoto-dera, which happens to be the oldest temple in the city. You'll then see the iconic Great Buddha before heading over to Enoshima island for some free time to explore on your own. After that, continue on to Odawara to tour the restored medieval castle. You'll spend the night in Odawara.

- Day 2
Mount Fuji - Tokyo
Start the day heading to the Hakone region, known for its lakes and mountains with views of Mount Fuji nearby. You'll go up to Owakudani to see steaming vents and mud pools, though if volcanic activity restricts access, you'll visit Arakurayama Sengen Park instead. Next stop is Oshino Hakkai village with its eight ponds and Mount Fuji views. Later, take a boat ride on Lake Kawaguchiko. The final part of the day involves driving up Mount Fuji's scenic road to the Fifth Station at 2,305 meters (7,561 feet), then returning to Tokyo by evening.
