- MPManeshveri· October 3rd, 2025Having done several escorted tours, this one was very different to the others as most of my fellow travellers were Spanish speakers, and for the last 2 days of the tour I was the only English speaker. It also differs from other companies in that people came and went on different days so that the travellers who started with me on day 1 were not necessarily the same people who ended the tour with me. On day 1 there were 10 of us, on day 2 there were over 20, most of whom left on day 3. There was no welcome meeting, optional excursions or farewell dinner probably because of the nature of people coming and going. As a solo traveller I did not bond with any fellow travellers as has been the case in most other tours I have taken (making lifelong friends along the way). I chose this particular tour as the price was competitive compared to the usual English language companies I travel with. The itinerary was very comprehensive which covered a lot and the dates lined up for me. It was a 4 day tour (although it is advertised as 6 days with day 1 being the first night at the hotel and day 6 being check out day), which was long enough for a tour in which I was the only English speaker for half of it. In addition to the itinerary and good value for money, another positive was having a separate dedicated English speaking guide (as the Spanish speakers had their own guide). In Seoul, we had an excellent guide, Symon Park who did not join us for the remainder of the trip. He gave me and the other English speaker his number saying that we should feel free to contact him at any time if we needed advice in Busan even though he did not accompany us there. The guide I had from Busan until the end of the trip, So Ye was also very informative ensuring that she explained everything to me even though I was the only English speaker on the last 2 days. The English speakers were provided with an audio device with earpieces from day 2 onwards which was irritating to have to use as the ear pieces did not fit into my ears properly. I have not had to use those on a tour before other than on hop on hop off buses or in museums.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewThank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.
