Itinerary
- Day 1
Bishkek to Jeti-Oguz
A car picks you up early from your Bishkek hotel and drives south toward Issyk-Kul. You'll stop at Burana Tower, an 11th-century structure with historical significance, then pass through Boom Gorge with its dramatic rock walls. By midday you reach Kizil-Tuu village where lunch happens with a local family, and you'll actually get involved in building or maintaining a traditional yurt. After that, the route takes you to the Golden Eagle House in Bokonbaevo, then to Canyon Skazka and Jeti-Oguz Gorge to see the red rock formations and alpine scenery. You'll spend the night in either a yurt camp or guesthouse in the area.

- Day 2
Jeti-Oguz to Karakol
After breakfast at the yurt camp, you hike up to the 'Maiden Braid' waterfall on the 'Seven Bulls' mountain and check out the 'Broken Heart' rock formation while a local guide explains the stories behind each site. Then it's a drive to Karakol city where you head to Bugu Bazaar for lunch and try Uighur and Dungan food like Al-Lyam-Fu noodles and fried potato patties. In the afternoon you walk through the city visiting Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Dungan Mosque, and later soak at Ak Suu kench mineral hot springs (around 72°F/22°C). The night you spend in a Karakol guesthouse.

- Day 3
Karakol to Bishkek
Starting after breakfast in Karakol, you travel back toward Bishkek along the north shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. In Cholpon-Ata you stop to see the ancient petroglyphs open-air museum and walk through the Ruh Ordo Cultural Complex. Before heading into Boom Gorge, there's a lunch stop at 'Apamdyn Kattamasy' restaurant where you try traditional Kyrgyz kattama bread and tea with milk served from a nomadic samover while hearing local stories about how Kyrgyz people eat and cook. You'll arrive back in Bishkek by evening.
