I was nervous going as a solo traveller but everyone in the group was so lovely and we all got on really well, the majority being solo too. All the tour guides were kind, fun, informative and supportive - they really feel like a part of the group. We crammed a lot of activities in and hit all the popular spots but also a few special, unique ones - my highlight being the jungle homestay in Thailand. - AHollie Baker· August 23rd, 2025I did the Total Asia True Travel Tour (Feb–March 2025) and it was honestly one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Every country had its own magic, and each of my tour guides brought their own unique style and energy that made the trip unforgettable. Northern Thailand – This was the start of my journey and where I met my very first tour guide, Biggy. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to group travel. He was so chatty, welcoming, and made sure no one ever felt left out. Alongside him was Nannie, who was interning at the time – one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. I know she’ll be an incredible tour guide in the future. Together, they set such a warm, positive tone for the trip. Southern Thailand – Here, our guide was Milin. She was sweet, kind, and though a little nervous at first (as it was her first time leading solo), she did such a brilliant job. Unfortunately, many of us got unwell during one of the stops, but Milin handled everything with such care and professionalism. I know with time and experience, she will only grow into an incredible guide, and I truly wish her all the best. Cambodia – Enter Nana, who greeted us with karaoke in the car from the airport before we’d even properly met – and that set the tone perfectly! He’s fun, thoughtful, and can make any room come alive with laughter. Cambodia itself was breathtakingly beautiful and actually became my favourite part of the whole trip. Vietnam – Our final stop was with Chris as our guide. He’s so funny, kind, and honestly the best photographer you could ask for – he’ll happily dangle in bushes just to get the perfect shot (and we all have the photos to prove it!). He made sure our Vietnam experience was full of laughter, fun, and plenty of memories. Across the whole journey, the activities were so fun and interesting – from cultural experiences to adventurous moments – and every day felt exciting and new. There was also a perfect balance of activities and free time, which gave us the chance to explore on our own or tick off any extra places on our personal wish lists. Overall, this tour was everything I could have hoped for and more. The countries were beautiful, the people I met were unforgettable, and the guides truly made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
