Basel
Your trip starts in Basel where you'll board the AMADEUS. After settling in, there's a welcome cocktail followed by dinner before the ship sets off late this afternoon.

- Day 2
Strasbourg
The ship arrives in Strasbourg early. You can either walk around the old town on your own or sign up for a guided tour in the morning. By afternoon, head out to the Alsace wine route countryside to see the small wine villages scattered through the region. The ship leaves for Germany later tonight.

- Day 3
Mannheim
Pull into Speyer while it's still early, giving you time to check out the imperial cathedral and learn about the local Speyer Brezel tradition before grabbing lunch. By afternoon the ship moves to Mannheim, where you can take a short trip to Heidelberg if you want to see the Baroque old town and castle ruins. Late evening brings another departure toward Rüdesheim.

- Day 4
Koblenz
Start the day in Rüdesheim with either a guided tour or a visit to a local vineyard for tastings and a walk down the busy Drosselgasse. Around midday, cruise through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley with views of Lorelei Rock. By late afternoon you're in Koblenz, where there's time to wander the pedestrian streets or take a cable car up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

Cochem
The ship leaves Koblenz early and heads along the Moselle River to Cochem, a town known for its romantic setting. Reichsburg castle sits high above, and down below you can wander narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses. Try some local wine with dinner aboard as the ship continues toward Cologne.

- Day 6
Cologne
Spend your morning in Cologne exploring the famous cathedral and gothic old town on a walking tour. There's also time to taste Kölsch beer, the local specialty. After lunch, the ship heads out for an afternoon of cruising.

- Day 7
Amsterdam
Arrive in Amsterdam by breakfast and take a canal boat tour through the city. In the afternoon, go on an excursion to Waterland to see Volendam and Edam, where you'll do some Dutch cheese tasting. Back on board, there's a gala dinner and then a shanty choir performance. The ship stays overnight in Amsterdam.
