Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Lima
You'll arrive at Lima's airport and get picked up for transfer to your hotel. Check-in opens at 11am, so you'll have the afternoon and evening to get settled and rest after your flight. This is a good day to take it easy and adjust to the local time.

- Day 2
Lima City Tour
Your guide picks you up at 9am for a Lima city tour. You'll start at the Pucllana Pyramid, then head into the historic center to walk through colonial architecture including the Cathedral Basilica, Government Palace, and San Francisco Convent. There's plenty to see and photograph throughout the day as you get a feel for the city's history and layout.

City Tour
Early transfer to Lima airport for your 1-hour flight to Cusco. After checking into your hotel, the afternoon tour starts around 1:10pm and covers the Temple of the Sun, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay before heading back by 7pm. You'll feel the altitude here, so the evening is yours to rest and let your body adjust. Try to get some sleep and stay hydrated.

- Day 4
Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
This is an early and demanding day. You'll head out at 4am for a full Rainbow Mountain tour heading south about 2 hours to Cusipata-Paucarpata for breakfast. From there, drive another hour to the checkpoint, then hike roughly 1 hour 20 minutes up to Vinicunca Mountain at 5080m where you'll spot llamas and alpacas roaming around. After photos and time at the top, you'll hike back down, grab lunch in Cusipata, and return to Cusco between 4-5pm. Rest up that evening and pick your own restaurant for dinner.

- Day 5
Machu Picchu
Another very early start at 4am for the 1.5-hour drive to Ollantaytambo train station. The train ride itself takes about 4 hours total from Cusco and goes through beautiful landscapes. You'll arrive at Aguas Calientes train station where your guide meets you, then take a 25-minute bus up to Machu Picchu. Bring your passport for entry. Your guide gives a 2-hour tour of the citadel, then you'll have free time to explore on your own. Afterward, bus back to Aguas Calientes to wander the village or rest before taking the afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo and driving to Cusco.
