Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Conakry
You'll land at Gbessia International Airport in Conakry and get transferred to your hotel. It's a travel day, so you'll settle in for the night after arrival.
- Day 2
Conakry
This morning you'll head out on a sightseeing tour of Conakry. The route hits the National Museum, the marketplace, the cathedral and the big mosque. You'll see how Guinea's artistic and cultural heritage comes through in its songs, dances and traditions throughout the day.

Îles de Los
After breakfast, you'll take a boat out to the Îles de Los, three islands sitting off the coast. Each one has its own historical significance, so you'll visit Tamara (Fortoba), Kassa and Roume during the trip. By evening you'll head back to Conakry for the night.

Kindia to Kilissi
You'll travel to Kindia for a city tour and check out the area around Mount Gangan. From there, head to Kilissi ecotourism resort where natural waterfalls with deep pools (around 3.5 meters) are waiting. Lunch happens near the falls, then you can spend the rest of the day swimming, resting or walking around the surrounding bush.

Guinea to Sierra Leone
You'll cross into Sierra Leone where a local guide takes over. The drive gets you to Freetown, and you'll spend the night settling into your accommodations there.

Bunce Island and Freetown
Today starts with Bunce Island, a former slave trading fort that became a national monument in 1948. You'll learn about the over 50,000 enslaved people who were transited from here to the Americas. Later in the day, you'll explore Freetown with a city tour covering the National Museum and Big Market, which is a covered market full of crafts, traditional items and medicines.

Banana Island
A short walk along the Guma trail gets the morning started. Then you'll take a boat out to Banana Island, a former slave island where you'll spend the night.

Bo
The drive takes you to Bo, Sierra Leone's second largest city. You'll check into a guest house there for the night.
- Day 9
Kenema to Monrovia
You'll head to Kenema, which sits in the Eastern Province as the Diamond District headquarters. From there, continue on to Monrovia for an overnight hotel stay.

Monrovia
A city tour of Monrovia takes you through Waterside Market and then to West Point, a township that's one of the city's most densely populated areas. You'll get a sense of daily life in the city during this tour.

Robert Spot and Monrovia
You'll drive out to Robert Spot to see the Allied submarine base left over from World War 2. After that, check out the small fishing village nearby. By evening, head back to Monrovia for another night.

Providence Island and Kendeja Resort
Head out early to Providence Island, the tiny island at the mouth of the Mesurado River where Liberian settlers first landed between 1820 and 1822. You'll stroll to Centennial Pavilion, which marks an important point in modern Liberian history. Later, you'll settle into Kendeja Resort for the night.

Departure
Transfer to Monrovia airport for your departure. This is your final day before heading home.
