- Day 1
Arrival in Budapest
Your journey starts when you arrive in Budapest and connect with your Emerald Cruises representative who'll handle your transfer to the Star-Ship. Once you're on board, the crew welcomes you and helps you get settled into your cabin for the week ahead.



- Day 2
Budapest
A guided coach tour takes you through Budapest's medieval quarter and the UNESCO World Heritage city centre. You'll stop at the Grand Market, Budapest's largest indoor market, where you have time to wander around on your own and grab lunch if you'd like. Back on the ship this evening, you'll sit down for a traditional Hungarian folklore show with the other guests.

Today is yours to spend however you want in Budapest. You can check out neighborhoods at your own pace, grab coffee at a local café, or just wander around. By evening, you'll head into town with fellow travelers for dinner and a traditional folklore show for a more hands-on feel of local culture.

- Day 4
Budapest to Slovakia
Take a leisurely walk through Budapest this morning, or grab one of the on-board bikes and cycle through the city one last time. In the afternoon, the ship leaves the dock and starts sailing down the Danube River toward Slovakia, so you'll have time to settle back on board and watch the landscape change.

Bratislava
The ship arrives early in Bratislava, and you'll have the day to explore Slovakia's capital. Wander through the romantic cobblestone lanes of the ancient town centre, passing Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings including the Slovak National Theatre. This evening brings local Slovakian entertainment on board.

Vienna
Vienna comes next, and you'll join a guided walking tour through the UNESCO World Heritage city centre. The tour focuses on classical architecture and ornate Baroque palaces that show off the wealth and power of the Habsburg Monarchy. This city's history in music and psychology comes through in every street.

Weissenkirchen and Melk
You'll stop in Weissenkirchen in the Wachau wine region, known for perfect conditions to grow grapes. The ship then sails through the UNESCO World Heritage Wachau Valley and arrives in Melk, where a guided tour takes you through the ornate Baroque Melk Abbey. Inside, you'll see important medieval manuscripts and learn about the abbey's history.

Linz and Český Krumlov
The ship docks in Linz, and from there a coach takes you into the Czech Republic to reach Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage town built around a 13th-century castle. You'll walk through winding cobblestone streets with colorful building facades, and a guide will show you the 15th-century St. Vitus Church and Gothic structures throughout the town.

Departure from Munich
After breakfast, you'll disembark the Star-Ship and transfer to the airport for your flight home. The week along the Danube has taken you through medieval towns, wine regions, and imperial cities, and you'll leave with memories of Europe's iconic skylines and charming riverside towns.
