- Day 1
Arrival in Tokyo
You'll arrive in Tokyo and meet your driver at the arrival hall for a private transfer to your hotel. After you get settled, take time to rest and recover from your flight. This is your chance to adjust to the time zone and get oriented to your surroundings before exploring.

- Day 2
Tokyo
This day is yours to spend however you like in Tokyo. You can check out the crowds and energy of Shinjuku, walk through Shibuya's famous crossing, browse the electronics shops in Akihabara, head up Tokyo Tower for views, or shop in Ginza. Taxis and the public transport system make it easy to get around on your own.

Kawaguchi
An English-speaking guide meets you to explore the Kawaguchi area. You'll go cycling around Lake Kawaguchiko and see UNESCO World Heritage sites along the way. After that, you'll try a beginner-friendly Canadian canoe on the lake itself, which is a nice change from the cycling and gives you a different perspective of the water.

- Day 4
Hakone to Kyoto
Your full Hakone day tour starts with a pirate ship across Lake Ashino where you can see Mt. Fuji on clear days. Next, the Hakone Ropeway takes you up to Owakudani's volcanic area so you can see the craters and pick up some of the local black jade. Later you'll visit Mishima Skywalk, Japan's longest suspension bridge, for more Mt. Fuji views and glimpses of Suruga Bay. By evening, you board the Shinkansen bullet train heading to Kyoto.

- Day 5
Kyoto
Kyoto is yours to explore at your own pace using taxis or public transportation. Many people head to Arashiyama to see Tenryuji Temple, walk through the Sagano Bamboo Forest, cross Togetsukyo Bridge, and check out Okochi-Sanso with its traditional Japanese architecture and gardens. The area has both history and natural beauty worth spending several hours there.

Kyoto and Nara
Start at Fushimi Inari Shrine where thousands of vermillion torii gates cover the pathways up sacred Mount Inari. Then tour the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum to learn how sake gets made and taste some varieties. Later, head to Nara Park where you can see hundreds of sacred deer roaming freely and then visit Todaiji Temple to see the famous Big Buddha Hall, which is quite large inside.

- Day 7
Osaka
You have the day free to explore Osaka however you'd like. The Kuromon Market has lots of fresh food and local goods to browse. Osaka Castle Park is great for walking around. For entertainment and crowds, hit up Dotonbori, and for shopping, Shinsaibashi has many stores and restaurants. If you want views, the Hep Five Ferris Wheel offers a good perspective of the city.
