Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart
You'll arrive in Hobart by 3 pm and get settled into your accommodation in the city center. Later in the afternoon, head out to Bonorong Animal Sanctuary for a 2.5-hour behind-the-scenes night tour where you can see Tasmania's unique wildlife up close, including wombats, kangaroos, and Tasmanian devils in their element.

- Day 2
Triabunna - Maria Island - Bicheno
Drive to the coastal village of Triabunna this morning and take the ferry across to Maria Island National Park. You'll spend the day checking out historic ruins, sweeping bays, rugged fossil cliffs, and spotting wombats, kangaroos, and possibly Tasmanian devils. By evening, continue along Tasmania's sunny east coast to reach Bicheno in the Freycinet region.

- Day 3
Bicheno
After breakfast, drive to Coles Bay for a 4-hour cruise through Freycinet National Park to Wineglass Bay. You'll see granite coastlines, the pink Hazards Range, white sand beaches only reachable by water, and remote Schouten Island where penguins and shearwaters nest. Return in the early afternoon to visit Friendly Beaches, then catch a dusk tour on a private property to watch blue penguins coming ashore.

Bicheno to Launceston
Start with a short hike through the Bay of Fires, where distinctive orange granite cliffs meet white sandy beaches. You'll then visit St. Columba Falls, Tasmania's highest waterfalls, and travel through lush valleys. By late afternoon, you'll reach Launceston, the state's second largest city.

Stop in Sheffield to see the famous murals, then drive through rolling pastures toward Cradle Mountain National Park. If time allows, you'll visit Ronny Creek for wombat spotting.

- Day 7
Cradle Mountain to Strahan
After a relaxed morning, head towards the rugged West Coast. Stop at the West Coast Heritage Museum in Zeehan to explore exhibits on the region's mining and railroad history. Continue to the charming fishing village of Strahan on the edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll wander the historic streets, check out cozy cafes, and explore the harbor.

After returning to Queenstown, continue by road visiting a mining pit and waterfalls along the way to Mount Field National Park. By evening, head to a nearby pub for your farewell dinner.

Mount Field - Hobart
Drive to Mount Field National Park, Tasmania's oldest, to explore lush forest landscapes ranging from temperate eucalyptus rainforest to alpine moorland. You'll see some of the world's tallest flowering trees and search for endemic bird species. After lunch, return to Hobart in the late afternoon where the tour ends around 3 pm.
