Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Rovaniemi
You'll fly into Rovaniemi and pick up your rental car, then head out to explore the snowy capital of Lapland. The landscape here is pretty distinctive with its winter setting. Walk across the Jätkänkynttilä Bridge, check out Ounaskoski Beach, or wander through Arctic Garden if you have time. Keep your eyes up during the evening hours since the Northern Lights might show up overhead.

- Day 2
Rovaniemi
This day takes you to the Arctic Circle where you can learn about Sámi culture and how the Northern Lights work. After that, head to Santa Claus Village, which stays active year-round and lets you meet Santa and explore the elf workshops. The whole place has that Christmas atmosphere going on no matter what time of year you visit.

- Day 3
Rovaniemi
You get to decide what happens today. Take the lift up Ounasvaara for wide views across the landscape, and then either hit the slopes for skiing or snowboarding, or skip that part entirely. If you'd rather relax, go for a traditional Finnish sauna followed by a dip in cool water. Both options give you a good sense of how people spend their winter days here.

Rovaniemi
There's an optional snowshoe hike through the forests if you want it, where you'll walk through snow-covered trees and feel the quiet of the winter landscape around you. After working up an appetite, grab hot cocoa at a cafe to warm up and refuel. Once evening comes, watch for the Northern Lights to appear in the sky.

Departure from Rovaniemi
Time to wrap up your time in Lapland. Return your rental car and head to the airport for your flight home. You'll have plenty of photos and memories from the Arctic to look back on.
