Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
Your representative meets you at the airport terminal with a sign and drives you by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Check-in happens at 14:00, though if you arrive before then, you can relax at the hotel or book an extra night beforehand. In the evening, you have two options: take a 2-hour open buffet Nile dinner cruise that includes a belly dancer and local band, or catch a Sound and Light show if it's available that night.

Cairo Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara
After breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide takes you across Giza Plateau for the full day. You'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, then move on to Khafre's and Menkaure's pyramids, and check out the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. From there, head to Saqqara to walk through the Step Pyramid of Zoser, which is the world's oldest major stone structure, plus visit the Museum of Imhotep and see additional pyramids. Later you travel to Memphis, Egypt's ancient capital, where you can see the Alabaster Sphinx and the Statue of Ramses II. Return to your hotel for the night.

- Day 3
Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo and Islamic Cairo
Breakfast comes first at your hotel, then your guide takes you to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The museum holds extensive ancient Egyptian antiquities spanning 5,000 years, and you'll see golden treasures from Tutankhamen's tomb. After that, move into Old Cairo's historical sites including the Hanging Church from the 3rd-4th century, Abu Sirga Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Next you'll see Amr Ibn El-Aas Mosque, Egypt's first mosque, followed by the Citadel of Salah El-Din and its Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. If time allows, walk through Khan El Khalili Bazaar before heading back to your hotel.

National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and Islamic Cairo Monuments
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which sits near Old Cairo at the former capital site of Fustat. You'll explore exhibits featuring pottery, wood, textiles, ornaments, royal mummies, and famous rulers like Ramses II and Hatshepsut. From there, check out the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifai Mosque. Later continue to the Citadel of Salah El-Din and Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, then walk through Al-Muizz Al-Deen Allah Street and Islamic Cairo's monuments including Barqouq Mosque, El Aqmar Mosque, and historic houses like Bayt El Sehaymi. Khan El Khalili Bazaar is on the itinerary if time permits before you return to your hotel.

Departure from Cairo
Have breakfast at your hotel before heading to the airport for your flight home. Your Ancient Egypt Tours representative picks you up and transfers you to the terminal. If you're catching an international flight, they'll collect you 4 hours before departure, or 3 hours before for domestic flights. For an early departure, you can request a breakfast box from the hotel to bring with you.
