Arrival in Bologna
You'll arrive at Bologna International Airport where your driver will be waiting for you. The transfer to your hotel takes you through the city, and you can check in from 14:00 onward. After settling into your room, the rest of the day is yours to relax and get oriented. Early check-in might be possible depending on availability, so it's worth asking when you arrive.

Start your morning at Piazza del Nettuno where you'll board the City Red Bus for a tour of Bologna's main attractions. Free Time in Bologna
This day is completely yours to spend however you'd like. Start with coffee and a pastry at a local café, then walk through the historic streets at your own pace. You might check out the lively markets, stop for lunch at a trattoria to try the city's famous food, or visit Bologna University if history interests you. Climbing the Asinelli Tower takes about an hour and gives you good views across the city from the top.

Walking Tour of Bologna
Meet your guide at 10:30 at Piazza del Nettuno for a 2-hour walking tour through Bologna's center. You'll walk through the piazzas, see the Two Towers up close, and head into the Quadrilatero market area with its narrow streets and food stalls. The tour covers the Basilica of San Petronio with its famous sundial, then moves to the 16th-century Archiginnasio building. By the end, you'll reach Piazza Santo Stefano with its collection of historic basilicas.

Departure from Bologna
Have breakfast at your hotel, then meet your driver for the transfer to Bologna International Airport. Plan your hotel checkout for around 12:00 noon and arrange your pick-up at least 4 hours before your flight takes off. This gives you enough time to get through airport check-in and security without rushing.
