Dublin
You'll meet your Travel Director and other guests for a city tour through Dublin's history, from its Viking roots through Georgian architecture. St. Patrick's Cathedral, built in 1191, is on the agenda where you'll hear about its significance as a national religious site and its connection to Jonathan Swift. Dinner together this evening kicks off the trip.

Dublin
The day takes you to Powerscourt Estate, where you'll participate in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience focused on Ireland's natural heritage. The formal terraces and Japanese gardens here are worth seeing, plus you get views of the Great Sugar Loaf Mountain. After heading back to Dublin, your afternoon is open to wander around on your own.

Dublin to Cork
You'll visit the Irish National Stud to see retired thoroughbred champions and learn about Ireland's role in horse breeding. Then it's on to Cork, where your Travel Director walks you through the city's character via the 18th-century English Market, Georgian streets, and the colorful riverside quays. Your evening is free, though traditional Irish entertainment is available.

Cork to Killarney
You have a choice today: either head to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone and explore the Witch's Kitchen and Wishing Steps, or spend time wandering the 1,500-acre grounds at your own pace. Later, you'll drive west to Killarney for a dine-around where you pick from several restaurants serving Irish specialties. Optional traditional music and dance happens this evening.

The Ring of Kerry is the focus, driving through landscapes known for their variety of green tones, past beaches and seaside villages with ocean views. You'll also see mountains, lakes, and woodlands as you head inland. Back in Killarney by evening, a three-course dinner featuring Irish flavors wraps up the day.

Killarney to Galway
You'll cross the Shannon Estuary by ferry before reaching the Cliffs of Moher, which rise 700 feet and offer views toward the Clare Coast and the Atlantic. Puffins and other seabirds like Guillemots, Razorbills, Peregrine Falcons, and endangered Choughs can be spotted here. From there, you'll walk through the rocky Burren landscape heading toward Galway Bay.

Galway serves as Ireland's cultural hub and hosts 122 festivals throughout the year. Your Travel Director leads an orientation tour that includes Eyre Square, which honors US President John F. Kennedy. After that, you have time to explore this busy port city on your own and feel its bohemian energy.

Galway to Connemara to Clifden
You'll head into Connemara through mountain passes and stone-walled countryside toward the Atlantic coast. A scenic cruise takes you through Killary Fjord, Ireland's only fjord, stretching 16 kilometers and shaped by glacial forces. Kylemore Abbey, a Neo-Gothic building on a quiet lake, includes a walk through the Victorian walled garden. The day ends with traditional dinner and an overnight stay at Abbeyglen Castle, a 19th-century manor house.

Connemara to Athlone to Dublin
Traveling east, you'll reach Athlone, a historically strategic location on the River Shannon since medieval times. Spend leisure time here to visit Athlone Castle from the 13th century or Sean's Bar, reportedly Ireland's oldest pub with roots back to around AD 900. You'll return to Dublin for your final evening to shop on Grafton Street or relax in a traditional pub before the farewell dinner.
