Rome to Sorrento
You'll start with a scenic drive from Rome down to Sorrento, traveling through countryside with citrus groves and small villages dotting the route. The road winds along coastal landscapes, giving you a real sense of the region. Once you arrive and check in at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to use however you'd like. Some people spend time wandering around town, while others might book an optional Amalfi Coast tour if they want something structured right away.

Landmarks Sorrento - Day 2
Sorrento
This is a slower day in Sorrento, which is nice after the drive. You can wander through the narrow alleys at your own pace, grab a limoncello by the waterfront, or simply sit and take in the coastal views. If you want more structure, optional excursions to Capri or Pompeii are available to arrange, but there's no pressure to book anything. Many people use this day just to settle into the town and get a feel for the place.

Landmarks Capri Pompeii - Day 3
Sorrento to Amalfi
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll have the morning free to explore Sorrento one more time and pick up anything you might've missed. Then at 11:30 am, you'll transfer to Amalfi, which sits as one of Italy's most notable coastal towns. Once you get there and settle into your new hotel, the afternoon and evening are open for you to walk around and get oriented with the area.

Landmarks Amalfi - Day 4
Amalfi
You'll spend time getting to know Amalfi today, the old capital of the Maritime Republic. The narrow streets are worth walking through, and the Cathedral of St. Andrew is worth seeing if you're interested in that kind of thing. If you want to cool off, there's a swim available in the Gulf of Salerno. Before heading back to your hotel, try some local limoncello and pastries at one of the cafes around town.

Amalfi to Pompeii to Rome
After breakfast, you'll have some free time in Amalfi for any last-minute shopping or sightseeing you want to do. In the afternoon, you'll head to Pompeii where you can tour the ancient ruins or just take in the site from the outside. From there, you'll continue back toward Rome to wrap up this part of your trip.
