The tour was well organised with a knowledgeable guide in Elif and an excellent driver in Jalad (?). The focus on supporting local suppliers of accommodation is great but resulted in staying in mostly fairly run down hotels. There is a lot of walking over loose and uneven surfaces to access some truly spectacular sights but it was sometimes very challenging in the sky high summer temperatures. G AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025You can pay in USD or CAD. ATMs in Turkey accept Visa and Mastercard. Local currency is Turkish Lira. Bring some cash for emergencies, but not only cash. US Dollars should be new and in good condition. Hotels are subject to change. Tours are guided in English, no Spanish translators available. Bosphorus cruise is during the day, but you can book a night cruise locally with help from the CEO or start hotel.

Istanbul is the starting city. IST or SAW are available as airports of entry. The tour ends in Selçuk, where IZM is the airport to depart from. You could also take a short one-way back to IST from here at the end of the tour, and instead search for roundtrip flights to and from IST.
