Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
After landing in Cairo by 2:00 pm, you'll get picked up at the airport and meet your CEO and group. Then it's off to downtown Cairo for an evening walking food tour where you'll try street food like fava beans and falafel sandwiches, finishing with a family-style dinner.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start early to avoid the heat and see the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx with your CEO and a certified Egyptologist. Next you'll head to a female-led community kitchen for a bread-making demonstration and lunch with the women involved. After that, visit Saqqara to see Egypt's first pyramids, then return to the hotel for the evening free.

Cairo to Aswan
This morning you'll spend time at the Egyptian Museum looking at over 10,000 artifacts from Egyptian history. Later, check out The Hanging Church, then grab lunch at a local restaurant in the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Walk through two historically significant mosques before heading back to freshen up. By evening, board an overnight air-conditioned sleeper train to Aswan with twin-berth beds and included meals.

Aswan
After arriving in Aswan, travel to Philae Temple and sail across the Nile to the island of Agilkia to explore the temple complex there. You'll return to the mainland and have free time for lunch at your hotel. Later in the day, cross to a Nubian village for a walk through the community, then have a traditional dinner at a local family's home.

Aswan
This day is yours to shape. If you want, join your CEO for a visit to Abu Simbel, one of the area's most important sights. Or take a half-day tour to an unfinished obelisk to learn about Egypt's construction methods. The rest of the day is completely free to wander around Aswan at your own pace.

Aswan to Luxor
Travel by traditional felucca along the Nile to Aswan Bridge, then transfer to Kom Ombo. You'll visit this riverside temple dedicated to the crocodile god, then continue toward Luxor on the East Bank. Have dinner at a local market restaurant in the city, then have your evening to yourself to relax.

Luxor
Start with a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings, walking down narrow corridors to see the pharaohs' tombs. Visit the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut rising from the limestone, then see the 59-foot-high Colossi of Memnon. Have lunch with a local family on the West Bank with views over the Nile. Stop at an Alabaster Factory to learn about this stone's role in ancient and modern Egypt. Your late afternoon and evening are free.

Take a ferry to the West Bank this morning to meet your student guide. Bike through the local village and visit the Funtasia Project to see how it helps the community over tea. Later, head to Karnak Temple to explore ancient religious life in Egypt. Then you've got a free afternoon to explore Luxor's bustling bazaar on your own.
