Itinerary
- Day 1
Vienna to Málaga to Ronda
You'll fly from Vienna to Málaga, then transfer by car to Ronda. It's a bit of a drive, so you'll arrive with time to settle in before heading down for a late dinner at your hotel. The winding roads through the mountains give you your first taste of southern Spain's landscape.

Gibraltar - Jerez
Start the morning checking out Ronda's famous bullring and the historic bridges spanning the dramatic gorge. The old town itself is worth a couple hours of wandering. After that, you'll head to Gibraltar for a minibus tour of this British enclave, where you can see Monkey Rock and get a real sense of how different it is from the rest of Spain. Later you'll drive to Jerez, known for its horses, bulls, and sherry wine production. Dinner will give you a chance to try some local specialties.

Cádiz - Seville
Your morning goes to González Byass sherry winery, where you'll learn about the different types of sherry and do some tastings. After that, you head to Cádiz to walk through the old town with its white flat-roofed houses, glazed balconies, and flower-filled plazas. It's a relaxed part of the day before you travel on to Seville in the late afternoon.

Seville
Spend your time in Seville exploring the cathedral and the Alcázar Palace with its beautiful courtyards and historic rooms. The afternoon is free, so you can wander Santa Cruz's narrow streets, grab tapas at a local bar, or just sit in a plaza and watch the city go by. If you're interested, there's an optional flamenco show in the evening.

Carmona - Córdoba
You'll drive out to Carmona first to see the Roman necropolis, then head through Ecija on your way to Córdoba. There you'll explore the Great Mosque with its 865 columns and richly decorated prayer niche. The former synagogue and the Judería district add layers of history to what you'll see. Córdoba really rewards spending time wandering its streets.

Úbeda - Baeza - Jaén - Granada
The route northeast takes you through olive groves toward Úbeda and Baeza, two Renaissance towns filled with manor houses, churches, and palaces. These towns show you a different side of Andalusia. From there you'll stop in Jaén to see the 16th century cathedral and take in views from Castillo de Santa Catalina. Later you continue to Granada, arriving by evening.

Granada
Granada sits at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, and this is the day you'll see the Alhambra Palace with its ornate tiles and detailed arabesques. The palace takes time to do properly, and then you can explore its gardens and watercourses. After that, head over to the Albayzín district opposite the palace and spend time in its winding streets. It's a full day but manageable if you start early.

Granada to Málaga to Vienna
Depending on what time your flight is, you might have time for a panoramic tour of Málaga before heading to the airport. If it's an early flight, you'll head straight to the airport for your return flight to Vienna. Either way, you'll head to the airport with plenty of time to spare.
