Itinerary
- Day 1
Giverny - Rouen
You'll fly into Paris and then drive out to Giverny to see Claude Monet's house and gardens, where he created so many of his Impressionist paintings. After spending time there, you'll continue through the Seine Valley toward Rouen. Once you arrive, explore the Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral and walk around the old town with its half-timbered houses and historic squares scattered throughout.

- Day 2
Jumièges - Honfleur - Roscoff
Start your day at Jumièges Benedictine Abbey, the ruins that Victor Hugo called 'the most beautiful ruin in France'. From there, head to Honfleur, a charming port town with a harbor and half-timbered buildings. Later in the afternoon, you'll visit a Calvados producer to learn about and taste this Norman apple brandy before wrapping up the evening.

Bayeux - Mont-Saint-Michel - Saint-Malo
This morning you'll see the Bayeux Tapestry, which shows the 1066 Norman conquest. Then visit sites connected to the 1944 Allied landings. Next, drive to Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, a Benedictine monastery sitting on an island that's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day ends with a walk through Saint-Malo's medieval walled town, where you can see the impressive tidal changes the area's known for.

- Day 4
Paimpol - Côte de Granit Rose - Tréguer - Roscoff
You'll check out Beauport Abbey ruins near Paimpol with its Anglo-Norman Gothic architecture and romantic location. After that, drive along the Côte de Granit Rose to see its distinctive reddish granite rock formations and watch the tides shift dramatically. Later, explore Tréguer and visit its cathedral, which honors St. Yves, the patron saint of lawyers.

Guimiliau - St-Théggonnec - Locronan
Head to Guimiliau and St-Théggonnec to see the Breton Calvaries, religious monuments built during the Breton Renaissance and Baroque periods by wealthy cloth merchants. From there, travel to Locronan, a medieval pilgrimage site with a well-preserved village and a history connected to canvas weaving. You'll have time to walk around and take in the atmosphere.

Concarneau - Pont-Aven - Carnac - Vannes
Start with Concarneau's Ville Close, a walled town surrounded by water at high tide. Continue to Pont-Aven, known as the town where Paul Gauguin and Émile Bernard worked developing Synthetism. Later, you'll see the prehistoric sites at Carnac with thousands of menhirs and dolmens, then visit the massive 350-ton menhir at Locmariaquer before reaching Vannes.

- Day 7
Rennes
Spend the morning walking through Vannes' medieval old town with its town palaces, half-timbered houses, and well-preserved walls. Then drive to Rennes, Brittany's capital, for a detailed tour. You'll see the 18th-century grid-pattern reconstruction, the Palais du Commerce, the Parliament of Brittany, and the Museum of Fine Arts.

Chartres - Paris
On your way to Paris airport, stop at Chartres Cathedral, a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take time to see its unique stained glass windows, particularly the famous Chartreuse blue glass. After that, you'll head to Charles de Gaulle Airport for your return flight to Vienna.
