Auckland
You'll arrive in Auckland and have the rest of the day to explore the city on your own schedule. Later this evening, you'll meet your Travel Director and the other people on the tour for a welcome drink to kick things off.

Landmarks/POIs Auckland - Day 2
Auckland to Bay of Islands
Head north from Auckland to the Bay of Islands, a coastal area with over 140 subtropical islets and clean beaches. You'll visit the Treaty Grounds with a local guide who'll explain the history of the Treaty of Waitangi signed in 1840. There you'll see the world's largest ceremonial war canoe and a carved meeting house that hold significant Māori artifacts.

Bay of Islands
This day is yours to spend in the Bay of Islands however you'd like. You can take an optional cruise through the bay with New Zealand wine, or head to the historic town of Russell, which was New Zealand's first permanent European settlement. In the evening, you'll have a chance to catch the sunset.

Landmarks/POIs Bay of Islands Russell - Day 4
Whangarei to Auckland
You'll travel south to Whangarei, New Zealand's northernmost city where nature and contemporary culture blend together. Take some time to walk through the Town Basin area before making your way back to Auckland.
