- Day 1
Luqa to Mellieha
You'll land in Luqa and get transferred to your hotel in Mellieha, which sits in the quieter rural north of the island. Depending on your arrival time, there's a chance to take a walk around and catch the sunset if you're not too tired from travel.

Valletta
Start your day at Barrakka Gardens where you can take in the harbor views from this clifftop spot. The vistas here are really the highlight of Valletta's waterfront. From there, head to Casa Rocca Piccola to walk through the palace museum and get a feel for how the nobility lived. After that, make your way to St. John's Co-Cathedral, which has some incredible artwork inside, including a Caravaggio painting and those ornate vaulted ceilings that really catch your eye when you look up. You'll have some free time to grab lunch or just relax before heading to the Malta Experience Show later. This multimedia presentation runs through the island's history and culture, so it's a good way to tie together everything you've seen so far.

Mosta, Mdina, Rabat and Dingli
You'll visit Mosta Cathedral first, where the dome is one of the largest in the world. After that, head to Mdina, the medieval 'Silent City' with its narrow winding streets and views from the fortress walls. From there, wander through Rabat next door to explore the underground catacombs, and finish by driving to Dingli Cliffs on the south coast where you can see mysterious grinding marks left by ancient cultures in the stone.

- Day 4
South Coast and Prehistoric Sites
Start at Hagar Qim temple complex, which dates back 5,000 years and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then visit Limestone Heritage in an old quarry where you'll learn how traditional stonemasons worked and can try making a Maltese sand-lime brick yourself. Later, walk through the colorful fishing village of Marsaxlokk and chat with local fishermen, then end the day at Ghar Dalam cave where Malta's earliest people lived.

Free Day with Optional Evening Tour
You have the day to yourself to do whatever you like. In the evening, there's an optional bus tour that takes you along the coast through Sliema and St. Julian's to Vittoriosa, one of the Three Cities where the Knights first set up around 1530. You'll walk the narrow historic streets, stop at a traditional wine bar, and see the lit-up Mdina on the drive back.

Gozo Island
Take a 20-minute ferry over to Gozo, the sister island. Once there, check out the charming old town of Victoria and the citadel that overlooks it. Drive to Xlendi bay, a former fishing village nestled in a fjord-like inlet, then grab a glass of wine at a bar in Qala. Before heading back, visit the temple of Ggantija, which local legend says was built by a giantess because it's so impressive.

- Day 7
Free Day with Optional Mediterranean Gardens Tour
You're free to spend the day however you want, or you can join an optional half-day gardens tour. That tour takes you to San Anton Garden in Attard, filled with exotic plants from around the world, then to Palazzo Parisio (people call it 'Miniversailles') with its fancy architecture and formal gardens. On the way back to the hotel, you'll pass Golden Bay with its golden sand and turquoise water.
