I loved the Heritage of the Holy Land tour. Our tour guide Leah was very knowledgeable and informative. Our bus driver Hassam was very good about navigating the narrow streets with a tour bus. We all became like family by the end of the week.

The tour was simply fantastic! Our group had an excellent dynamic that was created by our fabulous tour guide, Ditza Kornfeld. There is no other way to describe the professionalism Ditza commands other than superior! Her knowledge and professionalism is only exceeded by her passion to share, educate and enliven all aspects of the Holy Land tour and Israel in general.

How to possibly precis this holiday into one review? The five stars I have given to this tour are completely earned. This was a holiday, an experience and a pathway to new friendships like no other I could have imagined. Whatever hotel standard you travel at, the accommodation was excellent, the food superb. We stayed at the Prima Hotel group during our stay and the hotel was accommodating and very clean. The food was varied and excellent and the staff helpful. On to the tour! If you are not a morning person, you may want to get some practice! Each morning at 8am Mohammad the rather excellent driver would meet us in the reception to take us to the coach. The tour would start as soon as everyone was collected and away we go! Every day is packed with activities, which our knowledgeable guide Orna would prepare us for in an informative and detailed way without ever becoming boring. And when I mean packed - my word is it! But... don't worry that it is rushed. Every place we visited we got to with plenty of time to spare, each place we could explore and take photographs. Whether it was walking up the side of a man made mountain at Herodius or visiting the very gates of the legendary cave of Hell, touching the stone where Jesus fed the five thousand or seeing the manger itself in Bethlehem, there was time for everything. Our party had a member that had difficulty in walking and great care was taken to ensure that she missed out on nothing. Special transport was arranged where it was needed and of course the rest of the group, which had came together as a small community under the excellent Orna, was more than happy to work together to ensure that every person on our tour got the best they possibly could from it. Was it a spiritually moving journey? Yes of course it was! But also historically it was incredible to see the location of the Walls of Jericho, to visit and learn from the incredible Yad Vashem, to see the location that the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and to float in the impressively salty Dead Sea. Every thing that I could have hoped to accomplish through the tour was accomplished and more besides. So, finally let's get on to the food - essential for anyone wanting to walk those ancient hills and paths! Breakfast is of course included and please do load up on energy foods as you will need it! I found a new love for huge amounts of humus during this time as well as fresh bread, fruid, pastries and delicious local cheeses among many other delights. Lunch is usually bought using dollars and works out at about 12-20 dollars a person. Food is usually excellent and purchased from small concessions areas linked to the larger attractions. The quality of these places is slightly variable and naturally can vary depending on how late the group arrives however I have two very important tips for anyone on this tour; 1. Qumran's cafe. No disrespect to anyone involved however I would suggest you decide for yourself before eating there to ensure the food is freshly cooked and the surfaces cleaned properly. This was the ONE and ONLY thing I would warn about. And this is nothing at all to do with the tour operators. 2. Bethlehem's food is INCREDIBLE. The place Mohammad takes you to is the best food establishment by far, the people polite and the prices incredibly reasonable. Most of our coach were needing to take a few slow minutes before getting on the bus after that feast! So, to the summary. I suggest you go on this trip. I promise that you will enjoy it. Go into it with an open mind, ready to make new friends, learn new things and try new foods and I promise you will have, like I did, the best holiday you have ever had. I know it is rude to review people - but Orna and Mohammad are 10/10 - you can not find better. Go. Thank me later! Cris & Amanda.

We were able to complete most sights listed on the tour. We missed the Sea of Galilee experience. We were not able to sail on it. The only vendor there was presenting itself as a party boat and the guide made the personal decision not to let us sail. We also missed the Yad Vashem, and a couple of other lesser-known sites. I feel it is really important to do the whole program as listed. I feel the guide executed too much personal judgment here regarding the length of time spent and the selection of sites. It would be better to trim the itinerary sold. The hotels provided everything needed and the food was fine. This tour was operated by CTO.

This tour was the worst ever from start to finish for my wife and me. Cost was exorbitant, communications were poor to nonexistent, itinerary was not followed, tour guide was arrogant and condescending, bus driver was intolerant, and the overall value was horrible. While any tour to the Christian Holy Land has natural blessings and merit, this one was about as bad as one can imagine. Be sure to know I will share this bad experience with everyone I know. With this kind of result, Tour Radar should not be in the travel and entertainment business.

All was good Alice was a great guide The last couple of days in Bethlehem and the old City I felt was rushed and we were pushed into eating and souvenir shops I didn’t want to go Please allow tourists to negotiate with guides about eating and buying places Suggestion: allow for a coffee break mid morning, it was a long time between breakfast and lunch which was sometimes 2.30pm Meals at the Tiberias hotel we’re disorganised: they didn’t seem to know we were come Shalom hotel was excellent Alix was a great guide Edmond in Bethlehem was pushy and repetitive: he was knowledgeable and helpful but again felt he pushed us into buying and eating places which were over priced Over all I had a great time and only mention the above because I am Australian and the Filipino and 3 South African with me don’t need large meals in the middle of the day. A couple of coffee/drink breaks with a small sandwich/roll would have been enough Tim Moloney

We will not operate any tours if we believe there is a safety issue. All of the sites on the program are visited as usual. Of course, we cannot foresee what may happen at any given time and if for any reason the safety of the tour is questioned, we will cancel site visits if necessary.

    • Consolidated Tour OperatorsOperatorWritten August 2025

We have had customers with mobility restrictions join our tours. We are able to rent a folding wheelchair for your mother which could be used where necessary and possible. However, as it is a group tour involving other guests - albeit only a small group - the flow of the program must be maintained and it is not possible, for example, for the guide to be able to assist or hold up the tour due to individual's special requirements. Therefore there must be another person in your party who would be responsible for assisting when necessary.
