Arrival in Faro
You'll fly into Faro and get transferred to your hotel in Lagos. Dinner is included, so you can settle in and relax after traveling.

Lagos to Ponta da Piedade
Meet your guide at the hotel and spend about 4 hours hiking along the Algarve coastline. You'll follow rugged cliff paths past Praia do Canavial and Porto Mos beach, then head to Praia da Luz where there's time to swim. The route takes you toward Ponta da Piedade lighthouse before returning to Lagos. After the hike, you'll visit the historic Moorish sea fortress.

Amoreira Circular Route
This hike covers the Amoreira circular route through open hilly terrain with Mediterranean vegetation, sand dunes, and slate rock formations. You'll spend about 3.5 hours walking and get to see rare plants that thrive in harsh coastal conditions. Along the way, you'll pass the mouth of the Aljezur river, which is a great spot for birdwatchers.

Raposeira to Sagres to Cabo de São Vicente
Starting from Raposeira, you'll hike through a fertile valley to reach the secluded Praia do Barranco, then continue along dramatic cliffs with aromatic plants toward Praia do Martinhal. After about 4.5 hours of hiking, you'll stop in Sagres to visit the fortress where Henry the Navigator established his seafaring school. The route finishes at Cabo de São Vicente, home to Europe's brightest lighthouse and known as the legendary 'end of the world'.

Carrapateira Circular Route
You'll do the Carrapateira circular route, which takes about 4.5 hours and explores how people historically connected with the sea. Multiple viewpoints let you see the cliffs and beaches of Bordeira and Amado. On the path, you'll pass ruins from a former Moorish seasonal fishing settlement. The hike also shows how limestone cliffs get carved by sea currents and rainwater into caves, arches, and columns.

Armação de Pêra to Carvoeiro
You'll start at the small chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha, which sits on a rocky spur overlooking the sea. From there, you'll hike westward for about 5.5 hours along one of the Algarve's most beautiful cliff sections, walking through pine groves with ocean views. The route ends in Carvoeiro, a charming coastal town tucked between limestone cliffs with whitewashed houses.

Dunes and Cliffs to Odeceixe
This hike takes about 6 hours through the dunes, and you might spot tracks of native free-ranging mammals (though they're rarely seen since they're nocturnal). You'll pass dark rock formations and walk along multiple beaches including Alteirinhos, Carvalhal, Machados, and Amalia. The day finishes at the Azenha do Mar natural fishing port and the Ponta em Branco viewpoint, which has impressive views of Odeceixe beach.

Departure from Faro
