Warsaw
You'll arrive in Warsaw by train or plane during the day. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have some free time to wander around the city on your own before meeting up. In the evening, you'll meet your tour guide and have dinner together at the hotel to start things off.

- Day 2
Warsaw to Krakow
Start with a guided tour of Warsaw following the Royal Route, passing embassies and government buildings. You'll stop at the Church of the Holy Cross to see where Chopin's heart is kept, check out the Sigismund Column at Castle Square, and see Warsaw Castle in the Old Town. Head up to the university library's roof gardens for views over the Vistula River. Grab a bite at a modern food court, then take a coach to Krakow. You'll arrive in the evening and try traditional Polish food at a local restaurant.

- Day 3
Krakow
Your guided tour of Krakow starts at the Old Town's massive medieval market square with flower vendors and street musicians around. Walk through the Tuchhallen shopping center and visit St. Mary's Church to hear about the hourly trumpet call and see the St. Vitus Stoss altar. Move on to Wawel, the royal castle above the Vistula, touring the cathedral with its royal tombs and the mix of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. Later, you'll wander through Kazimierz, the historic Jewish quarter, visiting synagogues and the old cemetery. The afternoon is yours to spend checking out cafes and restaurants around the Tuchhalle.

- Day 4
Krakow to Wroclaw
Travel west through Silesia and reach Wroclaw in the early afternoon. Visit the unique Centennial Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then walk across bridges over the Oder to Cathedral Island, the city's oldest part. You'll tour St. John's Cathedral with its distinctive twin towers and explore the market square with its colorful historic town houses. Look for the astronomical clock on the town hall, visit the famous Schweidnitzer Kellers, and finish the day at a local brewery to try the regional beer.

Wroclaw
You have the whole day to explore Wroclaw at your own pace. Or you can join an optional excursion to Karkonosze (Giant Mountains). The optional tour goes to Jelenia Gora to see the charming arcade-lined square, then to Jagniatkow for Gerhard Hauptmann's former villa. You'll drive into the mountains to Karpacz, a winter sports resort, to see the Norwegian Wang Stave Church and hike to Kochel Falls. The trip covers about 280 km round trip, and you'll return to Wroclaw by evening.

Wroclaw - Lodz - Warsaw
Head to Lodz, Poland's third-largest city and home to the Polish Film Academy. Check out Lodz's industrial heritage with its many residences and textile factories built by 19th and 20th-century industrialists, plus historic workers' housing. Walk along Piotrkowska Street, Europe's longest commercial street at 4 km, now a pedestrian zone with richly decorated buildings. Stop at a small gallery to watch artists work, then tour the city museum in the former Poznanski Palace to learn about the Jewish, Polish, and German communities. From there, travel back to Warsaw and have a farewell dinner reflecting on your journey.
