Itinerary
- Day 1
Nea Makri
You'll arrive in Nea Makri, a coastal town about 42 kilometers from Athens on the Attic Riviera. After checking in and settling down, there's time for a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean if you want. The beach here is accessible right from town, so you can walk down whenever you're ready. This gives you a chance to shake off travel fatigue and get a feel for the local pace.

Naxos
You'll take the ferry out to Naxos, which is known for being the Cyclades' most fertile island. Once there, head to Melanes to see the incomplete Kouros statue, then stop by a traditional distillery in Chalkio where they'll walk you through how citron liqueur gets made and you can taste a few different versions. After that, you'll check out the Church of the Virgin Drossiani before heading into Apiranthos village for a walk around its green slopes and sandy beaches.

Naxos - Aegean Cruise
After breakfast, you'll head to the port and board an excursion boat for a cruise along Naxos's west coast. The boat takes you to Rina Cave where you can either swim in the water or walk around the pebble beach and check out the natural spring there. Around midday, there's a barbecue lunch featuring local produce. Later, the boat stops at Ano Koufonissi village where you can explore the village itself or spend more time on the beach before returning to port by early evening.

Delos and Mykonos
Start the day at Delos, Greece's largest open-air archaeological site and the legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. Later, you'll ferry over to Mykonos and walk through its white and blue architecture, wandering the narrow alleyways and squares to see the iconic harbor, windmills, and get a feel for daily life on this popular Cycladic destination.

Paros
The ferry takes you to Paros where you'll explore the charming harbor town alleyways. From there, head inland to the ancient marble quarries of Marathi that supplied stone for famous artworks, then visit the mountain village of Lefkes and the fishing village of Naoussa. Before the day ends, see the Byzantine Church of Katapoliani in Parikia, built during Emperor Justinian's reign, and the Venetian-built Kastro fortress sitting on a hilltop overlooking everything.

Naxos to Santorini
You'll have breakfast and visit Naxos's landmark Temple Gate on a peninsula before catching the ferry to Santorini. Once there, explore the archaeological excavations at Akrotiri where preserved streets and buildings sit buried under volcanic ash, giving insights into ancient life. Wrap up the day in Oia in northern Santorini with its views of the caldera from about 300 meters above.

An excursion boat takes you out to volcanic island Nea Kameni where you'll see lava flows, fumaroles, and crater lakes. Stop by neighboring Palea Kameni for a swim in the warm mineral-rich thermal springs. Back on Santorini, visit the prehistoric museum in Thira and wander the Catholic Quarter while thinking about how the 1625 BC volcanic eruption shaped these islands.
