Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Casablanca
You'll fly across the Strait of Gibraltar and land in Casablanca on Morocco's Atlantic coast. After checking into your hotel, settle in with a traditional mint tea to get a feel for the country. It's a straightforward arrival day, so you can rest up before things pick up tomorrow.
- Day 2
Rabat - Meknes
Start at the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest religious building in the world, positioned right along the Atlantic Ocean. Then head inland to Rabat, the royal capital, where you'll see the Hassan Tower and view the royal palace from outside. From there, the drive takes you through cork oak forests heading toward Meknes, covering about 240 km total for the day.

Volubilis - Fes
In Meknes, known as the 'Versailles of Morocco', you'll walk through the sultan's burial mosque, the granary, and the city gate to get a sense of the place. After that, you'll head to the archaeological site of Volubilis, passing through the pilgrimage site of Moulay Idriss along the way. The day finishes with arrival in medieval Fes, a 120 km journey from Meknes.

Fes
This day is all about Fes's medina, the oldest and most beautiful in North Africa. You'll walk through the tanners' quarter where leather work happens the traditional way, then check out coppersmith shops, carpenters, and spice traders. Before finishing, visit the Attarine Medresa with its colorful tile mosaics located near the Kairaouine Mosque.

Fes to Merzouga
You'll drive through the mountain village of Ifrane into the Middle Atlas mountains and down into the Ziz gorges. There's a picnic stop among date palms to break up the drive. Then you'll head into one of Morocco's most beautiful oasis valleys, reaching Merzouga by evening after covering 460 km.

Merzouga to Boumalne
Leaving the green oasis behind, you'll drive to the entrance of the Todra Gorge with its dramatic mountain landscape. After a walk through the gorge itself, you'll take the Road of the Kasbahs heading toward the provincial town of Boumalne. The full day covers 250 km of travel.

Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
You'll see Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate with its striking rammed earth walls, then check out the village of Ait Benhaddou and its adobe architecture, which appeared in the film 'Gladiator'. From there, you'll head into the High Atlas mountains, crossing the Tichka Pass at about 2,260 meters elevation before descending into Marrakech. The drive totals 310 km.

Marrakech
Marrakech shows you a city of contrasts where modern life meets traditional culture. You have the option of a city tour visiting beautiful palaces, colorful alleys, and souks where you can learn haggling techniques. If you're interested, you can take a pottery course to make a Moroccan souvenir. In the evening, there's a farewell dinner with traditional music and dancing at Ksar El Hamra restaurant.

Once there, you'll have free time to explore on your own, including shopping at the Morocco Mall, the country's largest and most modern shopping center.
